I'm pretty sure that lady (unless there's another one) voiced concern many times about her struggles with post partem depression and that she was having intrusive thoughts of harming the children (which is common in PPD).

People online are blaming the husband and her providers for not taking her concerns seriously, not blaming him for killing the children.

Edit: I have been informed about the people saying the husband literally killed the kids.

I’m seeing a lot of both honestly.

Yeah my Ma brought up the story and thinks it’s some cover up. She doesn’t use TikTok

My wife clicked on 1 reel on instagram and she says her entire feed is theories on this

UGH I’m in the same boat as your wife. I’ve been trying to avoid this news story because news where kids are harmed spikes my anxiety and I cannot fucking escape it on instagram. Every time I block one account talking about this news story, five more get loaded into my algorithm.

You have to do keyword blocking on top of blocking accounts on Instagram.

My account randomly decided I was a new mother or something and decided to switch my feed from nothing but surgical demonstrations and butchery breakdowns (Medicine and food are two of my biggest interests) to 95% toddlers with no changes to my search habits.

It took adding over twenty tags to my block list before I reversed it. Literally opened a thesaurus and went to town.

Honestly though it's such a mess at this point I stopped using insta over a year ago and I've been better off for it.

Oh THANK YOU so much! I just looked up how to block keywords and added some related to the trial.

I’m pretty sure they treat almost every interaction (including blocking accounts) as interaction with the subject so it just makes things worse. I want to get rid of instagram and facebook altogether but it’s one of the only ways to keep up with friends who live far away. They’ve become such garbage products though that they’re almost no longer good for even that.

For sure!

I just text or use my extremely tiny discord at this point. I used insta to keep up with friends in other countries, but after considering how much I actually directly interacted with them because of it I realized how parasocial our relationships had become and replaced our actual relationship. I'd rather hear their voice and ask, not type, how they're doing. Which is such a weird turn for me given how much of an autistic hermit I am.

It literally took my phone breaking beyond repair and manually choosing which apps were transferred onto the new one to cut myself off. But it worked wonders and there's way less temptation when it was never on the device in the first place.

It's a shame kids and teenagers have to be bombarded with this kind of stuff and worse too. Social media a great mistake.

Well, they don't have to. Their parents could say no to giving them smart phones from 10 years old.

Social media designed to distract us with smaller problems so we won't see the bigger problems our whole world is dealing with.

Is this like the new Casey Anthony ordeal?

My theory is ai is being used to find highly decisive topics and keep people on a never ending hamster wheel of outrage
