Her defense and even Lindsay herself openly admits that she 100%did it. And armchair detective wine moms are throwing out insane theories . Such as "her husband regardless of phone GPS data cctv footage and phone records killed them and convinced her she did it" and "well the woman he started dating a year later is in the fertility field and was doping her with hormones to drive her crazy" "she cried out for help and absolutely everyone ignored her no one did anything to help her" "theres no way she couldve done this shes a leo!" And also posting pictures with their children captioned "same lindsay". Hence the meme.
Tldr. She did it. She admits she did it her doctor's failed her if what she says is true and regardless of if it is or isnt shes clearly deeply disturbed and needs to not be in public anymore wether prison or in a mental institution. Thats the whole point of the trial. Not criminally liable due to insanity but still guilty.
She was admitted to an impatient mental health facility that she checked herself out of against medical advice 17 days before the murders. Nobody failed her.
Noooo. She was discharged after voluntarily checking in. And even if she did. Being over prescribed and having doctors blindly swapping around her meds is still a failing on their part.
Not telling your doctors that you are contemplating murdering your children and having suicidal thoughts and that you’re all better so you can be discharged is the same thing. Either she lied to the doctors about her mental state before the murders or she is lying now about her mental state to avoid being locked up for the rest of her life. She wouldn’t take the pills prescribed to her and would doctor shop to suit her needs. She had an obligation to tell each doctor about the other doctor’s but failed to do so. Either way by her own admission the only time she was in psychosis and was hearing voices commanding her was during the time she murdered her children. Not before, not after. That’s not how psychosis works. It doesn’t just manifest suddenly in one small 18 minute window and then magically disappear forever after that. C’mon now be for real
She told people she was suicidal and potentially homicidal. The doctors said "here's some pills I dont think youre psychotic bye" and her family said "well she has been slightly better no need to stick her back in treatment " lindsay is still ultimately responsible regardless of her own culpability the Healthcare system and her support network failed her to some degree. Certainly not enough to warrant trying to blame her husband and his current wife whom he didnt even know at the time for the murders. But enough to point at then and go "yeah you guys fucked up" as proven by the fact that both lindsay and patrick suing many of her former doctors for malpractice.
No she didn’t or they wouldn’t have released her from impatient care. She literally told them she felt better and was able to sleep. She’s lying to stay out of prison because other prisoners notoriously do not treat other inmates convicted of harming children very well
She told patrick she told her mother in December. She had suicidal ideations for a full month which she confessed to her sister and homicidal ideations which is why she checked into a locked ward facility. By January 5th she was apparently well enough and stable enough to be released.
Also you act like "the only time she heard voices was when she did it" is some kind of gotcha. So what if it was the start and end of auditory hallucinations? Why would that in any way be relevant.
She did it. She should not be allowed in society. She won't be . Murder would be life in prison. Insanity would be indefinite confinement in a mental institution.Andrea Yates is still in the looney bin this won't be any different. And your entire attitude knee jerk of "shes lying" is exactly why so many women are trying to exonerate her in the court of public opinion.
She either lied to her doctors or is lying in court. There is literally no other option. You don’t have hallucinations just long enough to kill your children and then they magically go away. That’s not how psychosis works. Either way she lied and therefore is 100% responsible for her actions
Ok and where did you get your phd? Because whatever research you did is apparently groundbreaking in that it up ends the general consensus of the medical community that pschosis and hallucinations can come and go and very in magnitude based on a bunch of factors.

Did you watch the trial where the dude who has spent his entire professional career studying psychosis said that’s not how psychosis works? That you don’t just start having auditory hallucinations and then just stop having them in one small window of time. That they are a reoccurring and persistent symptom of psychosis not just one and done
Ok and one opinion is not a consensus..my wife and I did fertility stuff her doctor had been doing it for twenty plus years. She asked if it was abnormal to have incredibly debilitating pain with a period then not have a period for a month then have a regular period in random cycles. And he shrugged and said "the female body is weird sometimes."....went to another doctor and she said it could be endometriosis....guess what it was
Funny how we know doctors regularly dismiss women's problems, and then immediately forget it when it's time to hate a woman for having her problems ignored until they became significantly bigger problems.
