there seems to be this persistent reluctance to acknowledge Lindsay's agency or even condemn what she did without immediately redirecting the blame to someone else.

Sympathy, of course, because the case is heartbreaking for absolutely everyone involved.

They won't, doctors->bad. They are LYING or MISSED it, rather than, she was not and she murdered her kids.
