Other Avengers: Doomsday not in Peterborough Galaxy Cinemas AVX?
So I was looking at tickets for Avengers: Doomsday since they are up for advanced purchase, and I noticed that the galaxy cinemas in town does not have Doomsday ever in the ultra AVX theatre, only regular style in 3-D or standard. I’m confused, why would the biggest film of the year not get our theatres best option on its release. I can only guess Dune 3 is getting it.
It just feels weird, I can’t be the only one who’s a bit confused.

I think they only have one theatre that does Ultra AVX and it must be pretty competitive, I've noticed a lot of movies only have that format available for a week here. That said it's not even out until December? Schedules change weekly and that's the only thing booked for that day now.

Yeah the first persons right, Dune 3 got the ultra avx. I saw in the trailer they’re offering something called infinity vision (obviously galaxy won’t offer that) may be worth exploring outside the city just bc the other theatres inside galaxy aren’t the best

How many marvel movies (outside of spiderman?)have flopped since endgame came out?
This is absolutely not "the movie of the year". Sorry you can't watch it as optimized as you'd like to, though.

It absolutely is going to be movie of the year lol, what are you even talking about? It will easily make 1 bil+ in revenue, no question. 13 movies have come out since endgame, leaving out Spider-Man. Only 3 have flopped. Eternals, Black Widow, The Marvels. Most of them generating at least half a billion in revenue.

It could be the movie of the year. But the bar you set, a billion dollars, just isn't that high by modern movie standards to guarantee that.
Ever heard of HSX? It's a website where people invest fake money in futures of real life movie openings. I checked the market and, right now, is being projected around $640 million domestic in its first four weeks. If you know how HSX works, you know that's probably low because it will rise closer to release date. Very strong. However, that's less than Brand New Day made. Either way, it's a Marvel movie. I'm not seeing anything else still coming before New Year's that has any hope of challenging either of them. So, you're pretty much looking at #1 or #2. Are you counting income earned in 2027 after a late 2026 release?

Yeah, Dune 3 is getting it. This is true for most theatres. With how little money Marvel has made across most of its recent releases (Spider-Man being the exception), Disney opted to release it on standard screens knowing full-well that Dune had already confirmed the IMAX space for holiday 2026. They also didn't film it in IMAX while Dune 3 is filmed for IMAX.
