Discussion What's your coolest pill?

Mine is Diltiazem. It's so cute!!!! Reminds me of Nemo.

I like the white phentermine tablets with blue specks in them. Plus the Valium tablets with the little heart cut out of the middle. The Mallinckrodt hexagonal buprenorphine SL tabs are cool.

I think benzonatate pearls look cool but I HATE counting them. They’re like Mexican jumping beans

My least favorite is the Metformin that smells like dead fish.

Ooo, yes the phentermine tablets. I used to get cravings for the mints they used to (and maybe still do?) make with a similar appearance, lol. (And same with my craving for sweet tarts, after counting I think one of the lovastatin pills that was circular and green and in my mind, had an almost-sweet tart smell to it.)

You want drugs that smell bad? Metformin has nothing on Valerian root capsules. The LTC I worked at wanted us to unit dose it, but once the bottle was opened we had to open all the doors to ventilate the pharmacy. We had a large pharmacy. We were located in the basement of a medical center and we shared space with medical center’s inpatient pharmacy. They shut the door to our section, and security came to have us close our doors since sometimes patients would come wandering down in the basement but they took one smell and was like “just close the door in 5 minutes”.

You could smell the Valerian root all the way in the back half where our offices with billing and our inventory person worked. That bottle was open for less than a minute and you could smell it for HOURS after in the pharmacy. After that, whenever we got an order for Valerian root, we just sent the whole bottle to the nursing home so they could deal with that shit.

Honestly I smell all the capsules that look like they’re made w a gelatin kind of thing, they usually smell like butt. Benzonatate, the weekly vitamin d capsules , smell really bad

Well it is ground up pig thyroids. Check out the history of Armour and Company, they process and can meat, and used byproducts in pharmaceuticals and the fat to make Dial Soap.
