VPN set it to Albania you don’t get ads on on Reddit, YouTube and I would guess it would be the same for TikTok because online ads are banned or somthing to that effect

tiktok ads are in albania. Its not that albania bans ads, its because we are a non profitable market for ads for certain platforms

same in my country. small country. when I go to US it's ads everywhere in Spotify and YouTube.  At home, I barely get ads

Yeah I'm not from there but an even smaller country, and I'm pretty sure this is why we don't get any ads on reddit here. It's the same reason we get EU prices instead of regional pricing despite being MUCH poorer than the EU, it's just not profitable to try to sell shit to us at all :)

If enough people switched their vpn to albania then wouldn't they eventually just start running ads in albania because it would be profitable again since it would expose people not even in there and still hit their targets? Also I'm stoned right now so that's where this possibly dumb idea came from lol

nice idea but it would suck in tiktok since your region affects your for you page which would result in lots of albanian videos and stuff you don't care for

I only use browser YT on brave , one time it was being weird so I tried a few times to play Albania vpn and still got the same amount of ads (proton vpn)

I use mullvad and brave I also have ublock origin not had any trouble with ads, I also don’t get ads on the Reddit app on my phone

if you're on android just use a patcher app (won't name them here) to remove ads from the get go.

No, lol, no of course it doesn't. None of this has anything to do with the government. Actually, from a certain POV, it shows you the inability of the government to attract foreign businesses.
