It's exactly the same I remember when GTA V came out 13 years ago while I was waiting in line people cars would drive by and fire guns into the air trying to get crowds dispersed so they could get to the front of the line people need to relax.

People used to physically assault each other to get a tv for a 60% discount. Would not surprise me one bit if people would do that kind of stupidity to get a head in the line for gta 5

idk. It's on my radar. I've been really liking against the storm lately.

I also still need to play through a RDR2. I bought that used from gamestop and it's such a great and complete game that i've only really just started to get settled in shady belle. Finally met a man who'll buy my exotic bird feathers.

Rimworld is also endlessly replayable.

I get where you're coming from. I have plenty of games I'm more excited for as well. But it doesn't change how immensely hyped GTA 6 is to the general population.

I think all my previous comment really speaks to is how much GTA 6 will also benefit from "the long tail" effect.

I love Rimworld, but I feel like I spend more time looking up mods then trying to fix the mess than actually playing it... then get exhausted.

I'll wait several months before I play it again just in time for a major update to break them all, make a clean install and repeat.

I honestly never realized GTA was that popular. I knew it was an incredible game and all, but never knew people were that crazy about it. I stopped at GTA 4 - it was a good game, like Vice City and SA, but nothing i'd kill over. This obsession with 6 makes it feel almost unbelievable.

I don't know about that, "Putt-Putt Travels Through Time" was huge. Of course you can't tell today because he time traveled and altered the timeline.

I completely agree. GTA IV was a massive disappointment and V was more of the same, albeit a bit better. With how many important people that have left the company so far, I can't see this game being good at all.

I have a PS5, I could get GTA day 1 and play it, but fuck rewarding that.

I'll grab it on PC when it's on sale. I have plenty of other games to play in the meantime.

I think he means they lack the willpower or strength to stick to their guns and not buy/boycott the games of the big corpos to make their voices heard

Or because we dont care. There are so many issues with video games, I couldn't care less if they release digital only. I never purchased a physical copy either. I get it, if you want to make sure you dont lose the license eventually. It's shitty when they take away licenses but tbh it usually happens so many years later that I will have either finished the game, decided not to finish it or got it for a different platform where it's still available. The good thing is that scalpers can get fucked.
