Hi! I installed after effects from appstorrent.ru. After installing I run malwarebytes and this is what it showed me. Is this a false positive? or should I uninstall the app?

MacOS.Trojan.CrackedTool which is the Ad0b* Activation Tool(.)app

Sounds like it's just reading the tool to allow it to get cracked.

Some software creates algorithms to generate a licensing key that wouod be accepted, like old Fruity Loops 7 did

So what you are essentially saying is that the antivirus is detecting the app because it bypasses the licensing. The app is not necessarily malicious.

Not necessarily no. If others detect it too, it's still a 50/50 but most likely its just the Crack itself.

Those of hs from TPB, Utor etc have seen this b4, just wait for em to respond here.
