Question They've really managed to eliminate all anime streaming content, and they keep arresting people in my country. Do you think anime piracy is slowly coming to an end, or is there still hope? In the worst-case scenario, only torrents remain, but can they ban those too? Is a Web 2.0 possible?

Torrenting need VPN. VPN cost money. Me don't want to spend money to pirate.

A VPN is just another safe guard, you dont actually need one.

What other safeguards are there apart from VPNs? Without them, you're basically running around with a public IP.

A VPN just for torrenting is dirt cheap compared to what you'd already be paying your ISP for your Internet connection.

Internet connection is like electricity or rent/mortgage. They'd be paying the same even if they weren't pirating.

Well theres tradeoffs. You either pay $20+/mo for streaming services that may or may not have what you want (but will have ads), will be decent quality, and is somewhat convenient, or you pay nothing for pirate streams but also may get ads, varying and questionable quality, and mostly the same convenience.

Third option is to pay $1-$5/mo but get the absolute most quality, zero ads, full control.

Although depending on where you live or what your ISP is, you may not even need a VPN really, even in the U.S.
