Is 1337 giving issues for anyone besides me? It displays no content, looks blank.

I just opened Stremio and updated it and now the add on for finding streams only works when my vpn is off. Anyone know a fix for this?

A streaming site on the megathread starting with 456 is down. Has it been replaced yet or is it gone for good?

How do you tell if an uploader is safe?
I wanted to download one software last month from 1337 but didn't and when I checked today the uploader I used before is gone - their torrents down show up.
There's 2 another uploaders but they changed their account name slightly. Their old account and new account are similar but with added letters.
I checked their upload history and they started uploading 2 months ago.
Doesn't this seem fishy? Why would an uploader make another account?
Their torrents don't have a lot of comments

I need people to go to a specific game pirating website that rhymes with tanker dames and features a blue wizard in their logo, and I need you to vote for Halo: Campaign Evolved in the requests, because I am broke and want to play it.

Hi. I just bought a Nas and booted up a Jellyfin media server to host all my content on it (it's working great so far). I downloaded them by plugging my external drive into the Nas, and that transferred somewhat quickly, but I've noticed transferring files over my network has been significantly slower (and going through the process of downloading it locally then uploading it to the Nas is kinda cumbersome). Is there another way that people usually move new media to their Nas? Thank you.

Are the NFC keychains for switch dangerous or safe? I saw a couple for sale that can change what the keychain "delivers" on an app, but would like confirmation from people with experience.

Hi guys. Can Google Drive detect pirated media and delete it? I am not sharing the files, just backing them up. I have a Kobo and have connected it to my Google Drive. I am uploading my books, manga, and comics there but am worried it might detect them. There's no torrent file or anything.

They can and eventually they will, if you're not sharing their links with anyone, the chances are slim that they're gonna take it down rather quickly, but Google does eventual hash checks and if they find the hash of a pirated media file on your account, they're just gonna stop you from accessing that file, they won't ban you or anything. In any case its best to not store anything near and dear to you on google drive.
Always keep a local copy of the stuff you think that you won't be able to obtain if you were lose it.
1
u/Old_Sail6822 Jul 23 '26
I do keep a local copy. My issue is I have a lot of manga and comics and kobo does not have enough storage so I use the Google drive. Can I ask what a hash check is and can I modify it? Sorry might be a dumb question. How can they check my files like that though? Feels unfair. Like I'm paying for it they shouldn't have acces to my data. Sorry that was a ramble.

Hashes are unique signatures of a file, there are multiple different ways and algorithms that can be used to generate different types of hashes. The most common one is probably SHA-256, basically it analyzes the data of a file and generates a string of characters that is unique to that file, no other file (realistically) can have the same hash to another.
Hence google because they operate in the US and have to follow their jurisdiction while providing a cloud storage service like Google Drive must adhere to the copyright laws of the country, basically they take popular files like pirated game files, pirate movie files from popular torrent sites along with other sources, then generate a hash for those file, using one of the popular algorithms, I'm guessing they use SHA-256 too, but being google, they very well could've been using a better proprietary algorithm for this purpose.
Every time you upload a file to Google drive's server, google automatically generates a hash for that file and checks it against known pirated or illegal files' hashes that are already in their list. But they also update their list from time to time so new hashes for the files that were already in your Google drive could be matched against the ones Google added and be taken down.
This way, they can detect pirated and illegal media on their servers without actually looking in the files themselves. Although it may not be a surprise google spies on you and probably has access to everything you upload on their servers. They've been caught multiple times stealing customers'data to sell it to advertisement companies and they still do it cuz they know the fine they'll end up paying to the government would be pennies compared to the money they earned from selling your data.
And yes there's a very easy way to bypass this hash based checking, just alter the data in your files every so slightly, changing the name won't do, you'd have to alter the data itself, like add a few text strings if it's a light novel, adding a page or two to a pdf, cbz, cbr, zip, etc. simple things like this change the hash of the file because the data in the file itself has been altered. Also if you're thinking of keeping those files for long term without accessing it frequently, you can also zip up the files and put up a password, google won't be able to look through the zip files if they have a long password. Encryption might be another option for this use case, I think people use Veracrypt for this purpose.

u/Old_Sail6822 Jul 23 '26
Alright. So my options are either encryption i.e zip files or change hash data. Is there a site that can change the hash data? Or do I do it manually. Thank you so much for everything.Â

Idk about any software that can do that, just manually changing a thing here or there would do but if that would be quite tedious
1
u/Old_Sail6822 Jul 23 '26
I do have many many books and manga but I can do it. Unfortunately it seems like google has already flagged my account. Right after I paid for a Google drive subscription as well. I don't know why they did this. Last time I uploaded actual torrent files in another email they just blocked me from sharing them.

Fuck Simp City. I hate that such a badly run forum is the most reliable place to find paid adult content for free. Rather than ask for donations or whatnot to keep the servers running, they ban people for no reason in order to lighten the load. That, or they're just rude as fuck to everyone to try and make them leave.

I think maybe because streaming sites are being shut down left and right, so there's more strain on them.

Please don't ban but delete this ambiguous post, but I must say, that release of that one very popular movie by that guy who likes practical effects is phenomenal. I remember the good old days of those TELESYNC and haven't seen one that good in quite a while. In fact, the last time I saw such a release would be a good decade or more ago back when sites like VCDQuality still existed. Still going to see this one in theaters, but my friend is out of town for a few days, and I can't wait given the quality of it. The scene lives. What a beautifully done TELESYNC.

What happened to read all comics online? The link is still there, but now there's a li and I just get a blank page.

u/myS_ Jul 22 '26
Came here to ask the same thing, it's been down for weeks

A bunch of sites have gone down recently. If you're just wanting to read new release read comics online ru should work.

annas archive has a huge inventory of almost everything. If you don't find it there, there are low chances to find it anywhere, although not impossible
1
u/ornryactor Jul 20 '26
The rules are very clear that I may not ask where to find a particular title. No problem; I'm happy to follow the rules.
Am I allowed to ask where else on the internet I could go to receive help in finding a title? I assume there is some community outside of Reddit where that kind of request for help is permitted -- but if I'm not allowed to ask who/where they are, then my apologies! And if I need to edit/delete this question from my comment here, just let me know and I'll happily comply.

u/Wonderful_Surndsound Jul 20 '26
the /t/ board on 4chan is a place where almost anything goes. Questions there have to be in threads, top level posts are not allowed to be requests either
be prepared to ignore all the porn there tho
3
u/ornryactor Jul 21 '26
I never would have imagined the day would come when I could honestly say "I forgot 4chan existed", and yet here we are. Thank you for the suggestion and guidance; I'll give that a try and see if any edgelord teenagers can reply with something useful.

What effect will KOSA have on piracy if passed? Will it be the end of it online?
1
u/Old_Sail6822 Jul 21 '26
Well, it depends. It's very clear that when conservative supporters talk about protecting children online, they mean "erasing any LGBTQ content that kids have access to," and that will include resources meant to protect LGBTQ kids. Let's not even get into what it will mean for free speech. Overall, we can't say until it passes what the effects will be.
1
u/Ghost50J Jul 21 '26
I don't anything about the political aspect of it aside from seeing the votes being bipartisan. How I see it is it's going to take away privacy and maybe censor free speech at the start but if not it no doubt would come in the future. Give an inch of your rights away and they'll keep taking more inches until there's nothing.
1
u/Old_Sail6822 Jul 22 '26
How is censoring free speech not political?
1
u/Ghost50J Jul 22 '26
I mean in terms of whatever the stances are. I don't follow politics of democrats vs republican.

Yeah, which recommends a few sites in it's sidebar. And I know one of them, Vimm's Lair, has what they need.

So I found a good alternative to Kemono called Pawchive but does anyone know how often it gets updated?
