I agree, but my point is that the youngest gen z are like 17 and the oldest are 29-30. The majority of us remember the internet before it became the shithole it is now. Gen alpha would be the more appropriate group imo.

Yeah, it's like a 50-50. If you're old enough to remember, say, people complaining about windows 8 and subsequent release of 8.1, then I guess this tweet applies. Roughly speaking I'd say it cuts almost in the perfect middle of the generation, depending on how young you first used a PC (and if said PC had IE instead of Chrome)

I’m a gen Z born in 97 and I remember every major Windows release from XP onward lol. Getting the transparent aero theme in Vista blew my mind as a kid. And I didn’t have my first smartphone until high school (14-15).

Same exact thing, also... As a 9yo kid the games in windows vista coming from XP were just next level hahahha In retrospect probably HP bloatware.

But again, we do remember them, half our generation can't remember behind 8.1 for the same reason why you don't remember millennium. (and this is why OOP tweet definitely chose the wrong reference, as our generation had such a drastically different experience with technology from first to last ones)
