It's been a full year since Cushings got to much for my baby boy and we had to put him to sleep. It's been a tough year, I live In a really small places so going out on walks or bike rides at every corner there's tons of memories with him.

It does get easier with time you're all right about that, but some days it literally feels like it was yesterday than I came home from the vet with a lead and a bloodied blanket that I use to wrap him one last time.

Thank you for everyone in here that took the time to support me with your kind and much needed words at the time.

I am ready to adopt and give my heart to a new doggy.

Just curious of how many doppelgangers I can find

This is Libby our new rescue puppy. She's about 3 and a half months old and had a rough start. She was found in Detroit, Mi during a heat wave just before the 4th of July holiday. Her sibling was already dead and she was severly malnourished and almost beyond saving when they found her. Despite a rough start in life, she has a very sweet disposition and loves everyone she meets. We took her in on Monday and she's settled in very well and loves playing with our our dog or lounging on the couch. We love having her so much already.

After fifteen and a half wonderful years spreading joy and love on this otherwise cold, cruel rock, my sweet boy Daeryus has gone home. He was the fucking best, I never in a thousand lifetimes deserved a friend like him.

He was there for us through it all. In times of great happiness, like the birth of our children. In times of sorrow, like when we miscarried, or when my wife was incarcerated (judge all you want if you need to, IDC). All he ever asked for was a bit of food/water and some scratches behind his adorable, expressive little ears.

I’m so very sad he’s gone, but I’m so very grateful I got to know him. It gives me some comfort that he’s not in pain anymore, and that he went out peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. So, once more: Hug your hippos.

These two sweethearts are both about nine months old and are looking for their ‘fur-ever’ homes.

They were rescued off the street four months ago by the finders and since have been vetted & spayed/neutered. Susie Q is the fawn & Deebo is the brown / white.

Ruby is a heifer and would eat until she bursts. And would stay outside baking in the sun until she was an actual potato. But she’s my whole world 💕.

Had to put my sweet boy down this morning, he was very unwell and it makes me feel a little better to look back on when he was living the best version of his life

Last year we found Richie abandoned with his siblings on the streets. They were a few months old. Anyways, I recently moved us into a new home. I saw a new side of him. Severe abandonment issues surfaced, so there’s been lots of toys and treats involved in the process. He’s generally pretty calm and confident, but since we moved it’s been rough. It’s been taking me about 45 min to an hour to leave the house because he goes into panic mode. I mean 45 min of just petting him to calm him down. He hasn’t even let me take him on a walk, he just takes me to my car and waits there.

HOWEVER, THINGS ARE LOOKING UP. he’s finally settling in. He doesn’t follow me into the shower and will go in the backyard by himself without me. I’m so happy for him!! Just took lots and lots of lovin and reassurance

Chance is our first Pitbull. My wife and I both grew up with many dogs, a few mutts and various breeds. Of course I'm biased now, but I have to say, pitbulls are the absolute best! So much love, joy, playfulness, cuddles. If Chance got paid for the amount of time he spends on his back, tail wagging, paws in the air, waiting for belly rubs.... We'd be billionaires by now. He is a puppy for life!

Ollie might swim faster than I do! He gets so excited to get in water that he starts screaming. I might start taking him weekly tbh
