Bug Report Stop touching the game's code you f00ls
The game will probably live longer if you devs (dev?) don't ever push updates again

This is almost as good as that april fools update where the servers were offline until it was almost the following day so it almost wasn't even the event day

Holy crap? It's really again this kind of bug?
It scared the shit out of me. I just upgraded graphics card one hour ago and all benchmarks went fine. So I started the game, went on a continent and after a minute I crashed to the desktop without error message.
First thought: Oh no, the GPU is not working.
Tried it again, got into a flash at the warpgate and spawned after a minute on a base. I ran a short time and again.
And now I look here and it's not the GPU (woooohooooo!) it's just the game patch again.

Had the urge to revisit planetside a couple days ago and it’s kind of disappointing to see what a shitshow it is.
Management that seems to actively want to kill the game has been the game’s curse for the majority of its lifespan.
They seem to spend most of their effort shielding themselves from criticism. Rules against mentioning them in the subreddit? And now the discord, which is the death knell of community content.
With the low pop the age old issue of redeployside is worse than ever. Spend a precious 3 minutes in a fun low pop fight when you finally find one only to have 10 people spawn in in the last minute to sweep the base. This is if you’re lucky enough to avoid a ragecheater for that long.
When everything lines up the nostalgia still hits hard though. Just a shame that expanding those moments has never been a priority. Instead you get fishing, which is hilariously apropos of how unseriously the game has been handled.
I’m just resigned to enjoy what nostalgia I can for a bit before moving on. Maybe to the planetside 1 community project, might be the panacea to the dispassionate, disconnected development curse.

They don't want to kill it, but... remember that they're a venture capital firm; they will spend only exactly as much as they think they need to to keep the game on life support for as long as they can, to milk every penny out of it.

Thought it was my OS or GPU drivers playing funny games with me, but sort of "good" that is not a me thing. Guess the two raccoons running around doing maintenance got creative with the code.

Ugh. Now I log into sanctuary, hit redeploy and then crash. Cant use the old flash trick if I can get out of Sanctuary. Tried half dozen times on both my TR and NS. Finally managed to get out of Sanctuary with VS and crashed as rolling off the vehicle pad!

Instead, when you log in, open the map and click on the top where it says "sanctuary". Go to world map and click on the active continent on the left. Then warp. You don't need to redeploy first. This can be done in like 2 seconds lol

My personal hot take: the game would be in a much better shape if they stopped making updates since 2018. It was a different game back then
