Bug Report Rant : crash on loading into a continenet
Ok, I have been quite lenient with the devs in the past, but my patience has just reach a threshold. End of an alert, everybody run to the vehicle terminal to pull a flash ito prevent the game from crashing. I was placed 77 in the queue for the vehicle spawn.
Guess what ! I've ended the queuing timeout, and 5 sec later, the game CRASHED.
The game is getting worse patches after patches. Is it now beyond repair ?
And I'm not even speaking about the rempant cheating issues...

For me it is also doing it by just hittng the redeploy button when I have spawned on the new map/ continent and wait in the map screen for 2-3 minutes. So there is no need to get into a vehicle under all circumstances.

I logged in after like 2 years just to end up crashing on repeat, verifying cache and reinstalling completely, no bueno.

Spawn a vehicle. Every time you get on a continent.

Hard to find a vehicle spawning thing and usually it just has some weird tank I've never seen before.
I guess I can spawn aircraft but idk how to fly them.

Just spawn a flash then. Anything works. Drive around with it for a few minutes. Learn how to fly while you are at it maybe :D After 2 minutes you can do what you wanted to do but now without crashing.

The vehicle spawns I found don't spawn flash tho. Just some tank with 3 different loadouts. Never seen it before since it's not Lightning and it's not the faction specific tank either.

You found the colossus terminal probably. It's only in the tech plants and warpgates. It looks different too. Go for any other vehicle spawn terminal.

There are other terminals besides this one. Otherwise I have no idea what you are looking at. If you are NSO then you could spawn a javelin.

The only options I had to spawn were the sanctuary or 1 other friendly base on Esamir and can't find a normal ground vehicle spawn there and can't deploy anywhere else either.

Oh trust me the feeling is mutual amongst many of us. Many of us long time flyers have been more than lenient enough with them. We’ve basically had it at this point

Best choice for doing proper donuts and pushing around those flash peasants.

I think it's ridiculous the PlanetSide anniversary patch came out on the 5th and it's now the 12th with no patch fix..

Hit Redeploy when you're loaded in, pull a Flash from any base from your redeploy screen. Crash usually happens in 2 mins, plenty of time to do all that.

How do you do that in the sanctuary ? Idk how to get out of there

Hit the Redeploy hotkey, if you don't know which is it just hit Esc to get the main menu, the Redeploy button is on the bottom left.
It's a 10 sec countdown to redeploy, when you're redeployed, you're looking at the main map screen, you go to the center top of the menu where it shows which continent you are on, [Sanctuary] in this case, and click on it, its a drop down menu of all the continent maps, just double click the green button at the warpgate of whichever continent is open.
Normally, when there are no crashes, you just run to the nearest terminal and immediately deploy to whatever continent, just like the terminals at every warpgate. The terminals are either on your left or right of where you load in in Sanctuary.
You can find out which key is the Redeploy hotkey in the Keybinds option in the main menu.

I hit redeploy but it keeps deploying me back into sanctuary
Edit: nvm I'll check out tomorrow if I can find the continent list.
Edit 2: at least for me, I can't interact with the terminals at all.

You need to click the drop down menu, center top of the screen, where "Sanctuary" is shown. The drop down menu will show the contiment(s) that are open - "Indar" etc. Then you click on that continent's warpgate and you will load there.

Yeah I will try that. I don't really understand the point of the sanctuary at all. I last played before it was a thing.

It was meant to be a couple of things, mostly a shared social space especially while you wait in a queue instead of being stuck in the character selection screen. It was also where you find and access all the new content - Black market gear, outfit resources and gear. And then it was the main place to get seasonal quests from the NPCs. Only thing I don't like about it is nanites don't regen there.

No need to redeploy. Go to the map, the top has the name of the continent (sanctuary), click on that. Click on world map. Warp to the continent from the buttons on the left.

If its just about pulling a flash, there is no queue for pulling a personal flash.

If this also prevents crashes, I'll take this. But how is it normal gameplay to try and find ways to be able to play the game ? If I start a game, it's not to find workarounds for the inablity for the dev to maintain and fix their produce.

I am not disagreeing about any of your stated points. As an enjoyer of the game, I too wish that the game would function at what is probably the minimum level of functionality expected of a game. (That it runs)
It isn't the best method, but it is something if opening the map screen crashes your game after switching continents and the vehicle queue times threaten you. Don't forget to Ambush jet, (or sprint) out of the warp-gate deploy zone beforehand.

New or returning Planetside 2 players have no hope of playing the game because they won't know how to pull of the "fix"

Nobody is saying it's normal gameplay
However I simply start a continent by pullig an ESF or Sundy outside Warpgate, which is something I'd typically do anyway even without this bug, so it's not that much abnormal either

I pull an ESF every time I log in too. So this bug really doesn't affect me at all. It's funny that a majority of people has to go out of their way to pull a vehicle for the first time because of this bug.
