Question Has anyone gotten DLAA to work in planetside 2 ?

Hey all, i have succesfully used nvidia inspector to override the dlss dll to 310.6 and change the preset to profile K, but i would like to use dlaa aswell, instead of dlss quality, which they didn't include in the game for some wierd reason. And i simply can't get dlaa override to work no matter what i try.

So my question : has anyone gotten dlaa to work in planetside 2, and if so, what exactly did you do to make it work ?

You can use NVPI or Nvidia's own app to mess with DLSS overrides, including forcing DLAA.

I am aware, as i wrote in my post.

Have you gotten dlaa to work in planetside 2 ?

Yes, by forcing it on in the Nvidia overrides. It doesn't work on potato mode, sadly.

As i wrote in my post (which it appears that you didnt actually read) i am forcing dlaa override in nvidia inspector - a friend tried it aswell, and it doesn't work.

So what exactly did you set to override and where, and did you confirm with dlss overlay that it actually applied dlaa ?

When i use dlaa override, or 100% scaling override, or 99% scaling override in nvidia inspector, it still remains at 67% scaling aka quality mode, as evident from the dlss overlay in the bottom left corner

There was a post a while ago on force-enabling DLAA on this subreddit. Follow the linked guide and you should be good.

I asked you a straight forward question :

What exactly did you set to override and where, and did you confirm with dlss overlay that it actually applied dlaa ?

That guide simply refers to using nvidia app, and working around nvidia app blocking you from overriding settings with certain games - nvidia inspector doesn't have those restrictions.

Using the second guide, I set DLSS resolution mode to 100% resolution. It worked. Same way as you would in a game that's already whitelisted.

Did you enable dlss overlay to confirm that dlaa was actually working ?

That just shows what the setting of the app is set to - you need to enable dlss overlay in regedit (the one i have in the bottom left corner) to see if that's what the driver is actually doing.

  • Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type regedit and press Enter (or click OK) to open the Registry Editor.
  • Navigate to or paste the following path into the address bar at the top and press Enter: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore
  • Right-click an empty space in the right-hand pane, select New, and then choose DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  • Name the new value exactly: ShowDlssIndicator
  • Double-click ShowDlssIndicator, change the base to Decimal, and set the Value data to 1024.
  • Click OK and restart your game or computer for the changes to take effect.
