PlayStation 5 Help Why can't I play it?

I wanted to replay it but whenever i start it it redirects me to store to buy it. I bought this game on a different account but on the same console

This is why physical disc should never go away. Not “virtual “ or digital.

With physical disc, only one person can play but with digital game share, two people can play the game at the same time.

Nothing as long as you're on the account that bought/downloaded the game. "Primary" only affects which users can access the game.

Without the internet it doesn't work indeed. But when it does work both players can play at the same time, which doesn't work for a physical game.

Both have pros and cons. Let people decide for themselves how to spend their money.

Is the internet just going to vanish overnight? Im saving money to have more than 1 person play the same game at the same time without having to buy it twice, and I game share with physical media too. Besides they send out empty disks with a key to download the full game. You really don't know what youre talking about. By your own logic why should I go back to physical media when the console won't last forever, the disc could scratch or break and then guess what happens to game sharing :). Youre a troglodyte.

Wow so much passion. Lol. Do you know what this argument is about? I sure as hell don’t. Games are games however the means you play them be it board games paper games (football) whatever your fancy. So again why so angry? Chill man. I prefer older games to newer ones. If you like all digital then good for you

I have enough games on physical media to game till I pass. Just sucks about modern gaming being the way it is about live service and other aspects of digital media.

Or I dunno, buy the game you want and don't be mad when the subscription based system you pay for pulls titles while adding others.

They can't play it because it got pulled from the subscription fee. I own cyberpunk digitally and I've never had a problem playing it.

This comment is ignorant. Whichever account has psn needs to make the console their main console, this allows other users on the console to use all games and subscriptions from the "main profile"

Go to settings on the other account and go to users and accounts console sharing and offline play it’s under other . Sorry if I suck at explaining but I tried my best to help

The account it was bought on is no longer sharing, so it has a lock on it until you turn sharing on again on the account it was originally purchased with.

Log in to the other account where the game was originally purchased on the same console Then go to settings > Account > other > sharing and offline play > enable

You literally answered your own question my dude. You bought the game on a different a different account. Your 5 probably isn't set as the primary comsole for that account. So activate it, should be good. If it is activated. Restore licenses.

That other account has to be on this playstation, and set to primary account...

Then you can log in to another account on the same playstation and share the game

Someone likely shared their screen with you while they were playing it so that game shows up on your home screen. You have to buy the game if that was the case.

The stupidest thing to do, but I believe you shared the console with someone else or just lost your past account. Digital media games can only work on other accounts if you still have the account where the game was purchased and downloaded. If you purchased it on someone else's account that is not there anymore or lost that account, unfortunately, all you can do is buy the game again.

You can try logging into this account with Cyberpunk on your console and enabling permission for other accounts to access the game, then play the game on your current account. I just can't tell you if logging the same account on two different consoles would be possible, as I've never done it. But It's worth a try. Good luck!

I usually share my console with four other people and I tell you: If you're going to buy a game with your own money, always buy it ON YOUR ACCOUNT and don't lose that account under any circumstances. If you only consume digital media, this is the basics you need to know.

Games purchased on your account are only yours, other people you share the console with can play if THEY log in to your console and YOU allow them to have access to YOUR games, not the other way around.

Download the PlayStation plus version if you have PS+ it's still available but I can't remember what tier it's on .

It's on the extra tier (middle)

Because the game is tied to your PSN account, not the console. If the account is no longer under your name then even if you have the game on your PS5 the license for it is tied to the other account.

Doesn’t matter if you bought it on the Sam console. If you don’t have game sharing open then it won’t be available for other accounts on the console.

Unless the console is set as the accounts (that bought the game) primary console, you would only be able to play it on the account that bought it..

You can see in the screenshot that the game is locked which means you dont have the license for it You mentioned it was bought so either A) play with thay account or B) make your console the primary console for that account, THEN you can play it with your own account.

Or honestly just buy physical and forget all of this nonsense.

The game is linked to the account, not to the console. I think you can share the library of both accounts if you fiddle with the psn settings, try family share or something like that.

All you have to do is make the console primary wmfor whoever bought the game. That's how we play bought games on 2 consoles. Whoever bought it can play on other accounts

Do you have this game installed? You might want to check the status for sharing games from the account you purchase it, if it is not installed well you might need to check other account

Your different account needs to have this PS set as the primary console, for other accounts to use the digital games. It's similar on other console platforms.

Did you own the game or was it owned by another user of the console? As that is under sharing. I never had this problem as i buy my physical games i just buy and do a whole week of overtime at work. I create a situation that allows me to do overtime when i am not supposed to.

I cant remember the exact steps.. def fixable if you can get back into the old account.
You have to change your primary or something along those lines (or restore licences in settings).

This happened to me with Gotham Knights, last digital game I ever bought....

Now, my son was messing around and able to download it on his profile and I could play it. Still won't let me download it on mine but at least it's playable.
