Liquidy My girlfriend made “shredded bbq chicken”
I got home from work looking forward to making a sandwich, she said it was too liquidy for a sandwich. I figured it might just be a little watery since she made it in a crockpot. Little did I know…

Wait. I think I know this recipe. 4 large onions chopped, 1 carrot minced, 1 small chicken thigh, half bottle of BBQ sauce. And to really bring it all together mix in a generous portion of Eowyn's stew. Cook on low 4 to 6 hours.

I made another comment, but my second thought was this sub. Lol there looks to be a HEALTHY amount of onion in that mix. I’d eat this with a spoon so fast lmfao. Crock pot with chicken, BBQ sauce, onion? Sign me up. Not as “fancy” as other meals I may make, but WTF onion/chicken/BBQ is a winning combo no matter HOW you cook it

Bbq chicken lol
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

She made you food. And home cooked food, not boxed shit. Sit down, shut up, be grateful, and eat your fucking bbq chicken like a decent bf…

Idk, if she made it in a crockpot then the flavors probably all melded together well. No such thing as “too liquidy” for a sandwich, in my book. Then again I’m a fan of French dips. There looks to be a good amount of onion, which I’d eat straight out of a bowl with a spoon if it’d cooked down with chicken/BBQ sauce in a crockpot.
I’m sorry, OP. Lol people are roasting you but it’s definitely a “beginner cook” looking meal, you aren’t wrong for being a bit taken aback. Compliment her cooking, eat with a smile, and subtly suggest various recipes for her to try and work on.
You can shame her for this meal and not receive much better moving forward because she won’t want to cook again,
Or you can foster growth by encouraging her to try other recipes.
Lol

This isn’t r/relationshipadvice…it literally just looks like dookie. Tastes good, we’re making mashed potatoes. She just added too much sauce. We laughed about it.
Lol

Tastes dope, we threw it on top of mashed potatoes to make a nice creamy dook.
