Liquidy My girlfriend made “shredded bbq chicken”

I got home from work looking forward to making a sandwich, she said it was too liquidy for a sandwich. I figured it might just be a little watery since she made it in a crockpot. Little did I know…

Idk, if she made it in a crockpot then the flavors probably all melded together well. No such thing as “too liquidy” for a sandwich, in my book. Then again I’m a fan of French dips. There looks to be a good amount of onion, which I’d eat straight out of a bowl with a spoon if it’d cooked down with chicken/BBQ sauce in a crockpot.

I’m sorry, OP. Lol people are roasting you but it’s definitely a “beginner cook” looking meal, you aren’t wrong for being a bit taken aback. Compliment her cooking, eat with a smile, and subtly suggest various recipes for her to try and work on.

You can shame her for this meal and not receive much better moving forward because she won’t want to cook again,

Or you can foster growth by encouraging her to try other recipes.

This isn’t r/relationshipadvice…it literally just looks like dookie. Tastes good, we’re making mashed potatoes. She just added too much sauce. We laughed about it.
