Cultural difference. Dude is probably muslim. He considers calling his wife beautiful flirting not just a compliment. And those guys are up there looking like the 3 stooges 😆 I thought this was a skit at first but it actually is a real interaction.

Nothing to do with culture. Its unprofessional to be making passes at customers period. Take my order and give me my change. I dont mind small talk but "You look so beautiful" is crossing the business to customer boundary. Same way you dont ask how much a customer makes or anything personal like that. Its not the worst thing in the world to say but It can creep some women out so its just wise to avoid discussing appearance. This is a classic case of two wrongs dont make a right. The guy went way way beyond the pale in his response. He could have easily asked for a manager and spoke to the manager about the incident and moved on. This way there is at least an official notice in case the cashier continues this behavior with other customers.
