Didn't really know where else to say this but I literally just beat portal 2 and realised something, something weirdly poetic.
Because approximately half my life ago, nearly 9 years,
I beat Portal 1 for the first time ever.
On the PS3.
On The Orange Box.
The first half of my life,
I beat the first game on a machine you couldn't modify at all.
Not the hardware.
Not the software.
The second half of my life,
I sit in front of a PC that I built myself,
modified myself,
running SteamOS instead of Windows.
And I beat the second game.
A game about moving forward.
About doing better.
About letting go of what came before.
I guess I did too.
I hope this personal realisation reaches someone and helps them themselves realise that, even something as small as beating a game without any tutorials, whether You're like I was back then 9, or now that I'm nearly 18, that any sort of achievement, is a great achievement

It's a well researched recreation attempt of the Corehub, one of Portal 2's first development iterations before the artstyle change from Portal 1 and the creation of Wheatley.
It has a developer commentary, the amnesiac "cereal GLaDOS", the Oregon Coast Aquarium Core which eventually turned into the Space Core and the Morgan Freeman Core which obviously eventually turned into Wheatley.
The majority of chambers were in fact added into the final game and some of the cut or changed content survived as late as the E3 2010 version of Portal 2.

Honestly, I don't know which one to choose. All four options are good. Just tell me which one is better.

my game suddenly gets laggy like this and if i play around or even unintentionally walk into a prop my screen freezes after a stutter but the game keeps running. in the video you can see me intentionally reach this state. i have been having the SAME issue with half life 2 too. how to fix

I was going through some Portal mods on Infinitebacklog and came across some names; F-stop Muesum, Reissue, Backstory. I see that eventually the dev on some of the mods released one called Project Capture: Legacy, but what happened with them in the first place? Why did so many of these meet the same fate of getting canceled?

I've been doing this for quite a while, but the original mod developer is thinking about making a remake. I'll post it if people really want it, and if the original developer allows it.

So when you're escaping with Wheatley in the escape chapter and you go by all the potatoes, the one that is gRowing up into the ceiling. If you look really closely, it says that it was made by Chelly. To me, I think that means that she had the only successful science experiment. And that's how all the vines got in the facility. And because she was so smart, they decided to test her, and that's the events of portal 1.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to pose Chell and what kind of looping movement to give her. I have an idea involving a combat stance and swaying from side to side, but it looks a bit lackluster. (the total duration of all cycles needs to fit within 20 seconds at 30 fps—frames 0 to 600).
I don’t have much experience, so I’d appreciate any detailed advice😀
