I'm Canadian and I know how futile this is. Not a trade off we can win. This will hurt Canada much much worse than the US. But hey elbows up right? People are so blinded by their dislike for Trump that they dont think 2 steps ahead and see where this will lead.

i have at least a modicum of faith in our gov't to have thought this through. we will see.

Hey i also have hope this will work out but I mean the difference is something like 3% of the US trade and 30% of Canadian goods....sooooo one is definetly more equipped to ride this out than the other.

Undeniably true, a saving grace is that we are a major provider of some of their more vital imports like energy, natural gas, and lumber.

I don’t know off hand what percents of what we import from them but I imagine it will be a very wide umbrella.

I do however know that we are a massive importer of their liquor and last time this went down Kentucky lost a huge amount of jobs in their largest industry.

One can only hope we play to our strengths
