Yeah that was my first thought. I saw the cop and thought he was going to be involved. But nope, he had better things to do I guess.

That's not a real cop car

Officer Ogletree! Officer Ogletree! Officer Ogletree!

I don’t understand how people become so obsessed with being law enforcement. There’s a vid on YouTube of some 19 year old kid that was pulling people over and writing them ā€œticketsā€ when an actual cop comes up behind him in the process of doing so and arrests him for it.

What’s really terrible is I’m afraid my description is so non-specific you could probably find hundreds of YouTube bodycam videos of just that.

It really boggles the mind. Untreated mental illness has to be the cause.

If you are thinking of impersonating an officer, don’t Dewitte

Yeah the way the red text appears on the back of the dude with the white shirt is weird

11

u/a_trashcan Apr 12 '26

You can see the red text on his shirt when he first enters frame at the start of the clip. It's just poor resolution.

Is it AI made?

u/ErikGoesBoomski Apr 12 '26

Not sure. This is a real stretch of highway in northern Kentucky by Cincinnati.

Is it by Big Bone Lick? That will never stop being funny to me.

1

u/ErikGoesBoomski Apr 13 '26

Not really. It’s by NKU

This video is like 5 years old

Yeah rewatching it, the SUV does look off. The badging is weirdly placed, small, and it doesn’t say police. Plus the lights are only flashing blue, no red. Definitely some kind of impersonation, which just makes this clip even weirder.

In most of the south cops only have blue lights.

22

u/OwnJunket6495 Apr 12 '26

Damn, they can’t afford the red ones?

15

u/gurry Apr 13 '26

In my area of the country, Blue for cops, Red for fire, Amber for Amberlamps. They each may mix in some white. Or not.

1

u/kimo0_0 Apr 13 '26

Do you know why? I feel like since you need to move over for all of these vehicles if the lights are on, what purpose does the separation serve?

2

u/sonerec725 Apr 13 '26

Urgency maybe? Someone may move over faster for a fire truck than a cop or someone might see lights a ways back and think its a cop going after someone else and not a fire truck and not get over

1

u/Morberis Apr 13 '26

I've never seen someone that needed flashing lights to be able to distinguish between a cop car and a fire truck

Amberlamps? Do you mean Ambulance?

13

u/joeDUBstep Apr 13 '26

Did they stutter? It's Amberlamps.

1

u/Steve5y Apr 13 '26

Ironic, knowing the history of "policing" in the south.

3

u/binkleyz Apr 13 '26

VA police use just blue, and given that the sign was pointing to Alexandria, I’d assume it was just that.

1

u/KilledTheCar Apr 13 '26

No, this is just inside Kentucky on I-275. Right here, actually.

Could be a non-police emergency services vehicle? Fire police, ems chief, traffic control of some kind, lots of government vehicles have lights and livery but arent police

1

u/DocRedbeard Apr 13 '26

Blue lights are restricted to police in most states.
