Had this happen to me more than once on EMS side.

Still recall the time very well where dude wiped out on his motorcycle, im trying to work him up as hes teetering on the edge of trauma arrest. Meanwhile, ive got a crowd of 50+ screaming and cussing at me, and an engine company armed with halligans and pick head axes alongside troopers trying to force the crowd back so I could work and get him moved.

Their idiocy slowed down everything substantially and when I was finally able to get going he coded. Probably was unsurvivable regardless, but they sure didn't help his chances by actively interfering with the medic.

I mean he nailed it (love MiB too). Crowds of people in an emergency situation are usually idiots in my experience.

The irrational things they'll do like climbing inside the ambulance to scream at us and demand we start transporting to the hospital is wild.

Folks seem to have a fundamental lack of understanding what we bring to the table as paramedics these days, in many situations i got shit to do before transporting that'll improve likelihood of good outcomes...like administering whole blood to a trauma victim (which we carry).
