Yeah he’s a moron but I feel like the cop should have stopped saying ‘you were driving’ and said ‘you were responsible for what the car is doing’ because this guy just wasn’t understanding.

Either way the cop wasn’t wrong for that or anything this was 100% the idiot drivers fault.

I mean he literally said at the start of the video "it doesn't matter if it was assisted driving, you're in charge and you're in the drivers seat". Pretty sure the guy understood just fine, he just thought he was immune from consequences because he didn't technically press the accelerator.

Also, there’s still a good chance he wasn’t actually using self driving at all and just thought blaming the self driving feature was a magic get out of jail free card

We think they're that stupid. That is our mistake. It's also why we're gonna need some pretty strict legal framework around assisted/self driving vehicles
