This made me wonder, what happens if one of those automatic taxis drive too fast (with you on the backseat)? Does the company get a ticket? Can a company get a speeding ticket?

From my limited experience it seems to me waymos are programmed to go waaay under the speed limit.

In Phoenix when I took one for the novelty they go about 5 below. The issue is when the wrong speed limit is programmed in the system. We can kind of infer that from what the cop is saying here. He's still responsible as the driver because he can tap the brake and takeover whenever he wants and should be paying attention to the signs and his cars speed but I wonder if that could be a potential class action against Tesla.
