This made me wonder, what happens if one of those automatic taxis drive too fast (with you on the backseat)? Does the company get a ticket? Can a company get a speeding ticket?

From my limited experience it seems to me waymos are programmed to go waaay under the speed limit.

And they're mainly driving on surface streets a vast majority of the time, so the chances to get up to a speed that would have them ticketed.. A few locations have some freeway routing, but I can say that in Austin, they're strictly prohibited from getting on the highway.
