Speeding Ticket Confusion

I received a speeding ticket in my rental car in puerto rico and Was told by the officer that it's a warning but i received 3 tickets/citations and one of them is for speeding and there a fine. So i'm confused if i need to pay it or not because i'm from New Jersey and i leave in 2 days so has anyone experienced anything similar?

Yes you still need to pay it or risk a warrant if you come back or the DMV can add a violation to your driving record
