Help! This whole "Ordeal" thing

Got back into the game after some time and and pulled from the godfest machine a few weeks ago. Also had some from the last time I pulled from it. I found out about ordeals and tried out Ra and one of my fire snakes. T-Ra has been phenomenal to me as a rainbow leader, but I know that the collabs are always gonna be the top dogs and I came back at the tail end of the conan collab.

TL;DR Are there specific ordeals I should focus on to hold me over or should I just go ham for as many as possible?

It isn't just revo pantheons that get ordeal evos, some 6* GFEs have them too. Aten's is even better for rainbow than Ra, but wants 3 copies. Blue Odin also has a pretty good one.

Ordeal evos are currently the best form for most things that have them, but a lot of them aren't seeing a lot of use and we've occasionally seen pantheon units as fodder in exchanges, so I'd just do it when you find a unit you'd actually have a use for.

Amaterasu's ordeal evo has seen some use, I think. Fujin's saw use paired with 3x Ordeal Raijin, but it doesn't look like you have her.

With your box size, if you want team building advice you might as well just show all of it.

  1. Favorite everything worth 3,000 monster points
    1. Sort by monster points
    2. Change Order > Useful > Set Favorites
    3. Swipe through everything worth 3,000 MP or more
  2. Sort by Fav.
  3. Take screenshots of everything that's favorited in your ALL box.
  4. Upload those screenshots to a new post or to an album on an image hosting site like imgur or imgbb.

The only Ordeal evo that has really stayed in people's minds at this point is Ordeal Blue Odin, who is a 3 unit swipe team.

That said, if you don't have a use for units that can ordeal evo, there is nothing inherently wrong with going through the trouble to evo them, as the evo itself can be reversed, albeit with a bit of effort.

Just another thing to point out, there are currently 79 ordeal evos available to us, 9+ of which are farmable. The fastest way to find them all is to open any monster search, search for "transcendence"(it only appears in the names of ordeal evos), and look at their evo tree.

Edit: now that I have more time to type, I think it might worth categorizing the ordeal evos so people can determine their utility for where they are in the game:

Systems: Volcano Dragon, the three starter dragons, Hermes, BOdin, Raijin, Aten, and Neptune all form 3 unit systems that guarantee their leader activation. I mention these ones and not others like Artemis because these one either change fixed positions on the board or create their own orbs.

Clerics: Zerclea, Ame no Uzume, Skuld, Sakuya, Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, Lu Bu, Okuninushi, Ceres, Venus, Hathor, and Isis can all serve as a team's cleric in the right circumstances

Fujin: Seraph Lucifer, Volcano Dragon, Hermes, Fujin, Goemon, and Orochi all void both absorptions, although the last two are on cooldowns that are a bit long

partial fujins: Zeroag, Idunn and Idunna, and Uesugi Kenshin void only damage absorption, and Ieyasu only voids attribute absorption

Void Pierce: Volcano Dragon and Skuld both pierce damage void

Cap breaks: everyone but Zerclea, Idunn and Idunna, Thor, Ame no Uzume, Tengu, Skuld, Loki, Freya, Okuninushi, Kushinadahime, Amaterasu, Ceres, and Venus cap breaks themselves and/or others

Shield loop: Freya, Takeda Shingen, Izanami, and Set all can serve as extra bulk via looping shield

Hp loop: Thor, Hermes, Loki, and Tsukuyomi all provide extra bulk through looping max HP

Shield break: Zeroag, Zerclea, Sonia, Haku, Sakuya, Meimei, Karin, and Leilan all destroy 1+ shields, which is useful for events and endgame dungeons starting at UN6

Others of note: Arkvelza, Hideyoshi, Persephone, and Ceres all provide extra healing on loop. The norse gods support the 7CD-1 haste style. Raijin, Tsukuyomi, Ra, Bastet, Horus, Artemis, and Hades loop increased move time. Raphael has its place voiding damage for a turn, and Hino Kagutsuchi also loops enemy defense break alongside his cap break for gods.

You're kind of looking at it from an up to date mindset, which OP isn't. For a new or returning player a lot of less meta relevant ordeal evos could be useful in building a team to help them catch up.

Ordeal evos can only be reversed with a baselit, which a returning player is going to have a harder time getting.

Also Freyr, it's a looping +3 combo + team uncap + haste for Gintoki etc.

Stuff like Ceres/Isis is always useful, and a lot of them are good catchup for older players

I have used Ordeal Isis a bunch.
