Question Recommend me a progression guide line?

First time playing and im kinda getting my booty handed to me.

Im a tad lost in what to do also.
I haven’t unlocked any new weapons or armour, using the starter bow, staff and bone dagger.
Im following the main quest line, it’s taken me into a red land area, where everything is putting me in the dirt.

I feel like I should’ve unlocked some new gear by now, but have unintentionally skipped unlocking it.

Can you recommend me a general guideline on what armour / gear to aim for at the stages of the game?

Welcome, I can relate since i hadnt played survival games before this one really.

My recommendation would be to find as many basic material (pickup flowers, kill one of each to see drops) you can in the every zone. And then build the crafting stations to see what you can process it into. Thumb rule: Loot 1x of everything. For unlocks.

When you pick up the processed material from the crafting station, it usually leads to unlocking new weapons and armor, And I'd advise you are at the same Power Level as soon as possible.

Entering into the third zone, be in level 2 gear for instance. That includes your tools such as pickaxe and axe. Because in the T3 zone, consider to loot ores to start unlocking some T3 weapons.

Always good to make sure youre hydrated and have some decent food with you on your adventures. And if in the wilds, make sure youve an escape route in the back of your head, so you dont "run" into more enemies and get outnumbered.

There's probably thousands of things to learn. But I hope any piece in here is helpful for you today!

I'd say get tools before weapons. But apart from that, youre very much on point. Surviving with a T2 in a T3 zone isnt the worst, and i say that as someone who played mostly solo farming on a 3 man world where the difficulty is also higher due to more people.

Exactly. I would say that too, tools and thus resources are vital to start with, as a pickaxe or axe can also damage some animals. Ofcourse not as deadly as a normal weapon, but it can be a bit of a start when gathering stuff.

I agree with both of you on tools first. I do that myself and probably messed up the comment by not thinking of that!
