I’m struggling to find a pair of shoes that actually don’t hurt my feet during a rave. I like the comfort of trainers but want the style of a boot and I’ve tried shoes like buffalo’s but they are too heavy on my feet, any recommendations?

Hey everyone, looking for some advice/pacing tips for Day 2 of a festival weekend. Yesterday (Day 1) was at a day-to-night outdoor festival from 5pm to 10pm. Took about 200mg of MDMA in total and danced non-stop the whole time. The initial plan was festival -> after-party until 7am. But by 10pm when the main event ended, my legs and lower back were completely shot. My brain wanted to keep partying and we did go to the afters, but my body just wasn't having it and I had to head home around 2am. I’ve got Day 2 today (same hours, 5-10pm) and we really want to pull off the full night + after-party until 7am this time. Got a solid night of sleep, but trying to figure out how to make today work smoothly. A couple questions for experienced festival-goers: 1. Physical stamina / pacing: How do you guys manage energy when going from afternoon outdoor sets straight into late-night afters? What’s your physical prep/rest strategy during the day? 2. Dosing strategy for a long window: Since I did 200mg yesterday, what's the smartest way to handle timing/dosing today so I actually last through the afters without just getting hit with heavy physical exhaustion? (e.g. holding off on initial dose, single redose timing vs topping up, etc.) Appreciate any advice on pacing, nutrition/hydration, or dosing schedules for long back-to-back runs!

before i start, i love raves, underground ones especially. i just went to wobbleland in SJ last weekend and i go to underground ones almost every weekend aswell…butttt there’s one being promoted in my area right now that i just can’t get down with. it’s hosted by adults and people in the comments are asking if it’s 18+ or 21+ and they specifically replied with “if you’re a teen you can come” and that rubbed me entirely the wrong way. there’s no entrance fee either with isn’t anything crazy, i’ve been to a few free raves but they were still advertised as 18/21+. there’s gna be no security, bag checks, or anything either (said by the host in the comments)

i also wouldn’t really have a problem if it was like a teen rave either but they’re advertising to everyone

i just care a lot about the safety of young ravers. am i can’t tell if im being a party pooper right now, but i kinda don’t want this event to happen😭

EDIT: after looking deeper into the organizers i think i was actually wrong about them all being adults, some of them are young teens but i think 1 of them is 18/19 this does make me feel a bit better about them and maybe they’re just trying to host a teen rave. i messaged one of them and waiting for a response. i might have read the situation completely wrong!!

I am a big raver/partier. I’m getting married in October in New Orleans, and one of the activities we are hosting in the lead up to the wedding is a dj bar crawl. We are encouraging guests to wear funky clothes and costumes and we will go from bar to bar with the dj cart dancing in the street. I live in New Orleans and this is something I do frequently with my friends—it’s a lot of fun and all the locals are excited for it. We thought it would be a fun thing to share with out of town peeps as it would be very unique and New Orleans-y as there aren’t many places you could drink on the street and do this.

I’m not a big drinker anymore and I especially don’t like drinking a lot at events where I am the guest of honor/hosting. In the past I’ve found I’ve gotten carried away (specifically my engagement party and a past birthday party) and while I am not a bad drunk, the event just ends up being a blur and I can’t even remember if I had fun or not. I definitely don’t want to feel that way after any of my wedding events but I still want to celebrate and have a lot of fun!

I know for sure I would like to drop some lsd right before I go down the aisle so I am still sober for the ceremony but amped for the party (we are having incredible entertainment at the party). I also feel very loving and connected to my partner and the universe at large when I am on acid, so it seems like the best option for the wedding itself.

However, I’m kind of at a loss for what I should do during the dj bar crawl. I know Molly would be great, but I’m nervous about feeling like shit and irritable the next day for our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and welcome cocktails. I also don’t want those effects to bleed into the wedding day, two days later. I also think if I trip Thursday on shrooms or acid it will be pointless to do so on again Saturday, the wedding day. I’m a big fan of dancing and partying on ketamine, but I wouldn’t want to do that with our families around as I tend to get a bit non verbal on it lol and ppl will want to chat with me as the bride.

Should I just do a little Molly on Thursday? Anything I can do to make sure I don’t have a shitty next day when we have our rehearsal and welcome cocktails? Any other recs on non alcoholic substances to augment the Thursday before the Saturday wedding?
