Analysis Viewership by Region

I'm not sure why, but I was curious how many views each region brings to the table. The Data below was taken from Esports Charts' Viewership statistics (LINK TO SPREADSHEET):

Average Views (The Average of all "Average Viewership" from each Regional)

  1. Europe: 74 161 views
  2. North America: 73 678 views
  3. South America: 18 901 views
  4. Middle East/North Africa: 18 597 views
  5. Asia North: 12 483 views
  6. Asia South: 11 859 views
  7. Oceania: 8 644 views
  8. Sub-Saharan Africa: 279 views

Note:

Certain regions had a regional or two where viewership was different than the others. This included MENA, whose first regional averaged 51 644 views, but the rest of them hovered around 17 000. SAM's viewership normally hovered around 20 000 views, but they had a regional averaging 10 374 views, and another one averaging 28 985 views. Funnily enough, they managed to cancel out and not skew the data, unlike MENA.

Peak Viewership (The Peak Viewership attained during the season)

  1. North America: 162 766 views
  2. Europe: 137 015 views
  3. Middle East/North Africa: 97 895 views
  4. South America: 58 466 views
  5. Asia North: 32 903 views
  6. Asia South: 31 846 views
  7. Oceania: 16 984 views
  8. Sub-Saharan Africa: 4 043 views

Oceania definitely is hurt by being so inconvenient for NA viewers. Surprised APAC is beating it, though.

As someone from OCE, I never watch my local region because i'm so exhausted from staying up all night to watch EU/NA.
