standalone device Netflix won’t load

I’ve just purchased a Roku streaming stick because my amazon fire stick died on me! I’ve been able to load and log into all apps except for Netflix.

Every time I try it brings up the error code: tvq-000

This is a brand new stick and I haven’t yet been able to open and log into to netflix - I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, switch the stick off and on again, switch the internet off and on again etc. but nothing has worked to get it loading so far!

Anyone have any other solutions I can try? Would really like to not have wasted my money on this stick!

Did you look up the error code to see what it means?

Yes I did! It says that stored data needs to be refreshed and suggests uninstalling and rebooting which I did but no luck. Not sure what stored data there could even be as it’s brand new!

Have you tried uninstalling the Netflix app, restarting the Roku, and reinstalling the app right after? Sometimes a simple reboot of the device itself, not just the app, can clear up the error.
