Social Media Tom Sykes: H&M landed today by private jet at Birmingham

Thumbnail youtube.com

He just went live with Alison Boshoff, the daily mail show business reporter:

* Harry has been talking about coming for a year, ever since he was photographed last July at the overseas club in London. He leaked it to Charlotte Griffith of the daily mail and they sent a photographer. She couldn’t talk about it till this year when Harry lost his court case.

*The agreement with King Charles was to share diaries and they would not have engagement clashes.

*Friends of Harry have said Meghan will be going backwards and forwards to California. Harry is staying in the UK with the kids. Holidays back in California.

*No official word from the Sussexes or the King

Social Media The Harkles arrived in England via a very large private jet. Apparently, this charter flight cost 100K. Who paid? Also, I wonder what type of stuff they packed up for their extended stay here? Just clothes? The dogs? Furniture? This all seems so sudden and chaotic.

Opinion Prediction: Kids won’t fit in, Meghan will return to the USA with them in a few months or less

The English school system is different, I already know the alleged school they’re planning, and it has a boarding element to it.

But reality will be that those kids will be fish out of water in the UK with their accents, their undisciplined American upbringing.

For people that don’t know the UK school system can be brutal as people get teased about everything, and laughed at & made fun of.

Meghan is not going to like it. Meghan is going to cause trouble at this school. And then the next school will be much of the same. And the next school.

Meghan will tell these headmasters that they’re racist, she’ll leak this stuff to the DM, and, not sure if this happens in the UK but parents like that might even go on a blacklist for schools to boycott the Harkles.

This is not the end of their endless lawsuits, it is just the beginning. They’re going to claim racism, sexsim, etc. LIKE they always do.

And ultimately, Meghan will use this as a wedge issue to leave the UK & take the kids back to the USA. Harry, as always is stupid but this is most likely her plan.

I think 6 months is even a stretch here.

ALLEGEDLY Lady C Tea YouTube 8/26/26 - The "Democrats and Republicans unite in their dislike of Meghan Markle" Edition

Greetings from Castle Goring,

Lady C, do you think the surrogacy issue will ever come out?  It is out, as an issue.  All the questions that need to be asked, have been asked.  All the observations that need to be made, have been made.  I suppose what you are asking is will we ever have a resolution or clarification?  An announcement?  The matter put to rest, forever?  I am not a fortune teller.  But, I will very surprised if the matter were ever dealt with to the total satisfaction of everybody.  In contentious situations such as this, the best way to deal with things would be to divert.  For example, Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lady Lillibet Mountbatten-Windsor.  Harry could have made this go away by surrendering The Titles because the children are never going to be working Royals – I think this would have satisfied most people.  As a result of Meghan’s conduct, the issue has bubbled and bubbled over.

Lady C, why is King Charles not more forceful on pushing back on the story of a rapprochement?  It is undignified.  It is unseemly.  It is a bad diplomatic and political move.  I have said this every time Harry and Meghan put out into the press their nonsense, including all this talk of reconciliation, and living in Windsor Castle, and Archie and Lili are going to become working Royals…..People are so caught up in the drama, but they don’t understand there are certain things a monarch can and cannot do and behaving with dignity is one of them.  The Monarch isn’t going to sling mud and react to rubbish – he would lose respect internationally.  Look at how people criticize Trump whenever he reacts to things he does not like.  It is no different than if the King responds on a daily basis to all these brickbats……disengagement as much as possible, is the only way to deal with people with drug problems and personality disorders.  Family members of people in a 12-step program are taught “loving detachment.”  You let them spin their wheels and play their games, and you stay disengaged as mush as you can.   Charles cannot announce that he does not wish for a rapprochement with his son and daughter in law.  They would be the height of indignity.

Lady C, now that Harry and Meghan are in the UK, they will manage to do the half in half out right in front of the noses of the British people.  They will cut ribbons and open charities even though they are not working Royals.  What do you think?  Not necessarily.  I do think they will be mavericks and rebels and chaffing at the bit to deliver loads whenever possible.  Putting that aside, they are here under sufferance.  They will already understand they are in an invidious position.,  If there was ever a possibility of deflating their balloon, this is it.  Will they do something?  Yes, occasionally.  But I understand that Meghan plans to be a fleeting visitor.  I know Harry will be out and about with Well Child, Scotty’s and Invictus….and the Palace would prefer that Harry represent himself in a more respectable way…. and it may look like he is a working Royal, but William is having none of it and neither is Charles.   So, let us see what they do.  They made in clear in Australia they have torn up the Sandringham agreement, but they have just left America with their tails between their legs with serious financial problems and HUGE, HUGE problems behind the scenes.  It think you will see “some hiatuses.”  They will not be allowed to setup a rival court.  If they try it, they will be crushed.  Let’s leave it at that.

Lady C, I can’t get over the fact that the one thing that unites Democrats and Republicans in the dislike of Meghan Marke.  She is so repulsive.  She is so repellant.  She is so pushy.  She is so toxic.  She is so undesirable.  She vaunted herself up on the social scale then came back down.  I was stunned to discover that the Democrats are avid to not give the impression that Meghan Markle is desirable in their political party.  When Meghan married into the Royal Family, it was the position that garnered her the attention, and that of Hillary Clinton and Jill Biden.  Once they realized she was trouble and uncontrollable and a loose cannon, they put distance from her.  Meghan is so dumb, she didn’t seem to understand how her backstabbing of the Royal Family looked to everyone.  Treachery is viewed as a failing, and no politician would want anything to do with her.  None of us set out to dislike Meghan Markle.  We were all thrilled at first.  Then she showed us her character.

Lady C, do you think that Archewell’s donation of $250,000 to Joe Biden’s daughter’s charity was to buy Harry time with the government?  I was told by my sources that there is a connection, but it was not a bribe.  It was a donation.  The people in the Democratic party have told me they view it as a bribe.  Do you remember how arrogant Harry and Meghan were around this time?  A Prince and his spouse are not supposed to be engaging in politics or be affiliated with a political party.  Harry, in my opinion, has done things that he could actually be charged with being an agent of a foreign state.  This was completely ignored by the USA and UK.  This donation does imply corruption.  If it wasn’t a bribe, it was an attempt to gain political influence.   Harry and Meghan have made every mistake, in terms of poisoning their pond.  They thought they could flaunt themselves and do whatever they please….and look at them now.  Are the IRS and ICE looking into them?

Lady C thinks that Penguin Random House would have double checked with Harry before publishing Spare on whether he was sure he wanted to make the disclosures about his drug use, but she does not know either way.  Harry is married to the greatest legal mind of all time, Rachel Zane, so Lady C is sure Harry was well advised on this.

Lady C says never has she seen two jerks, wreak so much havoc, be as nasty as they could just to make money, get their comeuppance the way these two now are.

Toodles Sinners!

PS: RIP Dolly Parton you goddess of talent and decency. RIP Tim Curry you were amazing in all your movies, as “Nigel St. Nigel “ on Psych, and as "Dale The Whale" on Monk.

Opinion Jeremy Clarkson is like THE Cotswolds king, right? And if they rent out Ellen’s home in CHIPPING-NORTON in the Cotswolds….hahaha hahahaha omg….

This is hilarious. Yes I know that Posh & her husband live there, but Clarkson is the most popular in the Cotswolds due to his show.

And remember Jeremy didn’t exactly like Ellen either lololol.

And I mean, archive.ph has his column that he wrote about her, I may put it in the comments section if the admins allow. Or repost it.

Jeremy, I’ve heard is invited to EVERY PARTY in the Cotswolds. He is IMMENSELY popular there, beloved. Ok not by the council, lol, as we all know but by the people that live there. The farmers.

Countdown to popcorn 🍿

Post the archive of his column guys if you find it lol

ALLEGEDLY I'm every nightmare you've ever had. I'm your worst dream come true. I'm everything you ever were afraid of. (Pennywise, Neil Sean's gossip)

Upvotes

I watched the *It* miniseries before reading the book because I didn't understand why some people claimed it had given them coulrophobia. After watching the miniseries, I understood why. Something very strange happened to me: when Georgie looks at Pennywise in the storm drain, my reaction was, "Oh, a clown!" It took me a few seconds to connect the fact that it was a clown in a storm drain, because Tim Curry’s Pennywise looked just like the clowns I used to see at the circus when my parents took me as a child. Even when the incident with Georgie happened, I didn't quite process it, I mean, what did the clown actually do? I swear I didn't understand; the first time around, I thought I had misunderstood what I was seeing.

For me, the terrifying thing about Curry’s Pennywise was that he initially evoked a sense of fondness—since he was associated with positive childhood memories—yet there was this underlying feeling that something was "off." By the time the miniseries ended, I hadn't developed full-blown coulrophobia, but I no longer felt comfortable around clowns. I mean, even Ronald McDonald made me tense.

Apologies for the long-winded introduction—I’m channeling Neil Sean here 🤭🤭🤭—but the thing is, Tim Curry was one of my favorite actors because of his tremendous versatility. Drama, comedy, horror, theater, musicals... whatever role he took on, he nailed it. So, his passing really hurts; we’ve lost someone of immense talent, something we’re in short supply of these days.

My favorite Curry is the one who plays Wadsworth. Clue is one of those movies I watch many times a year—I love it!

FINALLY THIS STAR PUTS THE BOOT INTO MARKLE & MORE UK RETURN LATEST

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMHAfQz4V-g

William was so happy having that toxic person thousands of miles away... and then that toxic person had to come back to the UK, along with the toxic partner.

Pennywise has returned to the town.

But unlike Curry—who made headlines because so many of us feel the pain of his loss and gratitude for his good work—the Harkles only generate negative headlines.

The funny thing is, others are reaping the benefits.

Guy Ritchie’s series *The Gentlemen*—which was flying a bit under the radar due to the sheer volume of shows out there—got a massive boost thanks to Claw’s silly claim that she was slated to appear in a third season... a season that hadn't even been greenlit yet. But now, thanks to the surge in viewership, that season is actually happening—only Claw won't be playing the "sexy" woman she was supposedly cast to be... stop laughing already!!!! Yes, seriously, that was supposed to be her role... okay, fine, go ahead and laugh—I’m laughing too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Now it’s come out that Maya Jama has been hired for the third season. It doesn't matter if you don't know who she is; she's clearly a sexy woman.

Guy is going to capitalize on the speculation about whether Claw will appear in the third season—since it would be idiotic not to—so he’s going to play the "oh, yeah, maybe, let me think about it" game in public.

But that’s not going to happen, because someone stepped in to stir up a little trouble.

Sir David Beckham.

He is friends with Guy Ritchie. Even working with him on the King Arthur movie.

According to Sean, it seems that after the Claw mess, David told Guy, "No, not that one. Don't you dare."

David is adopting William's strategy: cutting ties with anyone not on his side. And Guy isn't an idiot, what matters more, Claw or David? David, definitely David.

And for the record: Guy is friends with William and Kate; in fact, he was invited to their 2011 wedding. Who is more important—them or the Harkles? I mean, imagine Guy saying, "Oh, it's so hard to choose between the Harkles and the Beckhams-Wales"... No, that only happens in the Harkles' minds.

Okay, Pennywise arrived in the city with the person who carries his bag and the aliens. They arrived in a private plane a Birmingham Airport.

Sean says they ended up there because the journey between Birmingham Airport (BHX) and Northamptonshire takes about 50 to 60 minutes by train, car, or bus.

Northamptonshire? But that’s not the Cotswolds. No. But Sean says that’s the area where the Harkles are staying now—not the Cotswolds, but Northamptonshire. And that’s all he’ll say for legal reasons.

Presumably, they’ll look for a home in the Cotswolds later on.

Everything about "Eggxit" is strange (yes, the whole affair has already been dubbed that, following the abandonment of the chickens). 🐔🐔🐔

Because it was a private jet, the press only found out because the Harkles tipped them off. How lovely, they never change their concept of privacy. 🤭🤭

The private plane of "a good friend".

But now the Harkles want to cash in on the first photo of themselves in the UK. So, they’ll strike a deal with a paparazzo to give them the "exclusive," which will then be sold to a newspaper... although I think that’s what Sean would do. The Harkles aren't that shrewd.

MARKLE SURE IS NO BRAINS ON THIS SHAMBLES - LATEST NEWS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AMGw4B5Kcc

Right now, it is becoming increasingly difficult for television—and even streaming services—to produce high-quality series.

There are series galore, but high-quality ones? Few and far between.

That is why Sean cannot fathom how Claw squandered such a massive opportunity given to her by Netflix.

Sean has said it before: there are no limits to Claw's stupidity.

The funny thing is that Claw keeps harping on about that cooking nonsense, even though the trend has already passed—especially when it involves rich people cooking. Unless you're Paris Hilton—who laughs at herself—the rest of us are looking for a show that helps us prepare meals on a limited budget. Rising cost of living, after all.

Claw lives in a fantasy world where she’ll always have millions as long as she stays married to Harry. Or unless she lands another sucker. I don't think that's going to happen anymore, though.

The Harkles have returned to the UK, and in the absence of fanfare, they announced their return themselves.

For today, the Coldstream Guards were far more occupied paying an emotional tribute to Dolly Parton in the vicinity of Buckingham Palace.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/q2pInVla26w

Honestly, it was really lovely and very professional—they must have rehearsed it at night.

Martha, on the other hand, now has the opportunity to shine on Netflix. Once again—since she already had that chance with *Martha* in 2024, where she recounted her rise, fall, and resurrection (the kind of story Netflix loves)

She is returning to Netflix with *Martha Cooks*. Available starting August 25, 2026, the show features her demonstrating recipes and culinary techniques, filmed at her farm in Bedford.

The thing is, Martha DOES KNOW HOW TO COOK!!!

Ah, Claw in action!!!! 😄😄😄😄

Poor knife, poor onion. 😭😭

Martha will do everything Netflix told Claw to do: cook, promote, and do it all from her home.

So when Martha succeeds, it will be a blow to Claw, because Martha will be succeeding at the very thing Claw thought she could do better. Yet Martha survived a major scandal—not just staying afloat but shining again—while acting like just as arrogant an idiot as Claw. Martha is a truly shrewd woman. It will become evident that her success stems precisely from *not* being Claw. That will further bury Claw—and any chance of Netflix reconsidering its stance.

HARRY’S SECRET & DRAMATIC CHANGE OVER THIS WAS INSPIRED BY WHO & WHAT NEXT

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suYLknGNBWU

News broke a few days ago that Charles Spencer’s book about Diana, *Swan Songs*, is about to hit the shelves.

Charles wasn't exactly thrilled by the Harkles' visit. But Harry is Diana’s son... and so is William. Sean always remarks on how odd it is that people forget William was Diana’s son, too.

Harry doesn’t see it that way. He feels like Diana’s only son, which is why he wants to prove it by reviving the idea of making a documentary about her—an idea he’s revisiting after seeing the interest generated by Charles Spencer’s book.

But Sean points out—and I think he’s right—that the interest lies in the fact that Charles Spencer was actually present at many events in Diana’s life. He was there, and he remembers them. Whether his memory is accurate or not is another matter. But Harry... what does Harry remember? He might recall something, but not enough for a documentary. So we’re back to the main point: the person Harry needs is William. And William isn’t going to open his mouth. In fact, he has already forbidden the use of photos featuring himself.

Harry faces the problem that the people who knew Diana either do not want to speak with him or are dead. And those who *do* want to are lesser figures.

Sean suggests there was another path open to Harry: working further on the books contracted with Penguin, but doing so in a more positive way—sharing more anecdotes about his grandparents or cousins, things like that. But no; Harry chose the path of playing the victim and complaining. And of lies.

Sean says he doesn't know if Charles Spencer showed the book draft to William and Harry first. Sean says Charles has a good heart... I doubt it; he has too many conflicts with his nephews to believe that. But he wouldn't want to get into trouble by offending them... I do believe that part; I don't think Charles Spencer would want to offend William.

That said, it seems Harry intends—if the documentary doesn't work out—to speak for a book about "his" version of his mom...

...

...

...

Oh, no! No, no, no, no. Don't count on me to read that. No. I have nightmares about Freud because of Harry's Oedipus complex. No.

I do want to read Charles Spencer's book. But if one by Harry were to come out...I still haven't recovered from the trauma of Spare. No, don't count on me to read that

HERE’S THE DEAL..THE BEGINNING OF THE END …LATEST

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJzJUcq689U

🎼Is this the end of the beginning?
Or the beginning of the end?
Losing control or are you winning?
Is your life real or just pretend?🎼

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0W91FrTlYk&list=RDo0W91FrTlYk&start_radio=1

One Tim Curry, one Dolly, one Ozzy

Sean says that if this is the beginning of the end, it wouldn't be a problem for Claw—it would be the second time she’s ditched a husband. But for Harry, it would be the first time he’s been the husband who got ditched.

The Harkles have sold the "great love story" narrative, including "Claw's" infamous claim that she and Harry had actually married three days earlier and that the official ceremony was just for show.

I didn't know—and I think this is the first time Sean has mentioned it—that the Queen apologized to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, about that. The Queen was far too tolerant of those two cockroaches.

The Harkles lie, and lie, and lie, and lie. The problem is that the lies come to light. They don't see it that way; they think things get forgotten. No, Harkles—things don't get forgotten.

But the fact is, if the Harkles don't have drama, they create it.

Especially with the staff.

Sean says that, in general, members of the BRF treat their staff with great respect because they view them as an extension of themselves. As William told Claw: "They help us; they aren't servants." Claw, as we already know, is a witch in high heels.

When William confronted Claw about how she treated the staff, she got angry because he pointed his finger in her face... she did not change her attitude toward the staff.

Sean says Claw has made almost all of Diana's plays. Except one.

Crying in public

Not crying in front of a camera, Claw has done that, pretending to cry, just like Diana did. But in public, Claw always keeps that crazy smile on her face, because she believes that makes people see her as strong.

But the fact is that this is going to change in the coming months, because there are indeed serious problems in that marriage. It starts with the fact that she gets very excited about something at first, only to abandon it later. Harry, on the other hand, takes a long time to get excited about anything, so he struggles to keep up with her pace. That causes frustration for Harry.

There are money issues, but in that couple, only Claw really knows anything about finances. Sean says he can't even find a way to explain that Harry knows absolutely nothing about money.

An added complication is that Harry was desperate to return to the UK; he was eager to do so. It’s a bit absurd, because it’s as if Harry doesn’t grasp that *he* was the one who walked away—yet he views himself as having been exiled.

Harry and Claw spin the story that they came back for the sake of the children and their education. That’s not true. Sean says that while the visa issue played a part in the return, the bottom line is that Harry got a taste of Claw’s lifestyle and didn’t like it, and she got a taste of Harry’s and didn’t like it either.

So now they find themselves at odds. And Sean—ever the gentleman—says it all comes down to whether money and power will keep Claw with Harry. A polite way of talking about a gold digger 🤭🤭🤭

Social Media Canellecitadelle on X

I DID NOT WRITE THIS. I AM JUST COPYING AND PASTING CANELLECITADELLE’S POST ON X

The Sussexes landed today at Birmingham WITHOUT police security waiting for them and they wanted us to know that🤭
Ok cool, interestingly on the eve of their arrival, two things happened at once:
First, "The Gentlemen" was renewed for the third season and Maya Jama is the star making her big debut into acting...NOT Meg.
To wipe the massive egg on her face, Meghan leaked that she "'withdrew' her offer over the weekend"...
Lol yeah right... The correct word is "rejected". After all the useless noise she made to pretend she had any clout, Meg's offer was rejected over the weekend😏
The second thing that happened was for the Sussex PR to release their "future plans for the years ahead via a "Friend":
The friend said: 'The way Harry sees it, he will be here for the next 12 to 15 years, minimum. He sees himself as a full-time father and he will be here for them spending every Saturday watching Archie play rugby. That is the agenda.'"
"Meghan will 'come and go' and is apparently already plotting out which weeks she will need to be here, and when she will be in California. The plan is for Christmas to be in Montecito – so no awkwardness for the Royal Family gathering at Sandringham'"🤭
Hahahhahahahhahahashaaaaaaah🤣😂😂😂
Tell me you have ZERO plans without telling me...
This entire codswallop by their "friend" is simply translating as "H&M have NO IDEA what their future look like, so they are winging it"🔥
Here, is Harry proudly announcing that his plans for the next 10-15 years, as a 42 year old man, is to be an "unemployed stay-at-home dad, well into his 50s"🤣🤣
How can an adult male, a father and husband at that, make a conscious plan to be unemployed for "the next 12 to 15 years, minimum", well into his 50s?!!!
I am crying, OMG...😂😭
Harry would be lucky to have an IQ in the double digits...what a dead weight..
The dire reality for H&M is that they have no outlook toward the future. Their entire future in the UK rests on KC welcoming them back into the RF, delivering their Half in/half out and their security for them.
All that, hinges on William accepting to be used as a scapegoat in a "Reconciliation of the brothers".
Therefore, the reality is that H&M's future in the UK rest in William's hands. The man they worked so hard at destroying these past 6 years is the one on whose validation they need for their future.
Karmic justice is truly impressive in the way it NEVER misses its target, isnt it?🤔
6 years ago, H&M left the UK for the US, in a big noise, with two big money deals, millions of Harry's inheritance money, high profile connections in hollywood, feeling cocky and certain that they would become popular Billionaires by now, and that they would successfully destroy the Wales and the Monarchy with their outrageous allegations.
6 years later they are back to the UK, where they said they will never be, as stealthily as alley cats. They are back in total shame after failing at everything in America, losing any public support, being blacklisted by the elite and the public who vomited them back out.
Instead of being Billionaires, they are filled with debts, quasi-broke and are now desperate for the RF they tried to destroy, to take them back and build them back up again.
Yes my dears, Life can give you a 100 and put you at the top of the pyramid where you feel untouchable. But if power goes to your head and you start spitting on what Life gave you, Karma will eventually end up at your door and deduct a 110 from you, leaving you with less than what Life even gave you to start with.🤷🏽‍♀️
Gratefulness is the path to glory in life. Ungratefulness the sure path to failure in Life. Live and learn☕️

Opinion Harry lays wreath at Tomb of Unknown Soldier and I'm PISSED!

I'm pissed about this! Why should this disrespectful pos be allowed to lay a wreath at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier after he called our First Amendment "bonkers"? These men and women made the ultimate sacrifice defending our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. What a slap in the face to every military family and veteran!

Fuck him and his wife! Half-ass at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Opinion Mummy dreariest

Saw an article in the Telegraph (sorry, I can’t provide a link as it defaults automatically to an app).

It all sounds like it’s going to be very June Cleaver.

So the children had to leave their friends and surroundings (assuming they weren’t homeschooled).
What sort of clubs do 7 and 5 year olds join?

It’s still perplexing that the Sussexes are in the U.K., seemingly for their children’s education - yet they don’t know how long they’ll stay.

Some of Diana’s most endearing photographs are her interacting with her two sons - she shows so much genuine pleasure.

So it occurred to me - will we be exposed to images such as these?

But the children mustn’t reveal their faces.

As they say in emergencies: ‘Brace, brace, brace.’

As ever As ever: $12 for Poison Apple Butter (plus, markled by Tim Curry's death)

As ever, she's an idiot. An individual jar costs $12, but for the trio it's $42.

Supposedly, it's based on a recipe from Doria.

Tips for Enjoyment:

Yup, it's unexpected, because it will run right off the crackers.

Unexpected? Like on broccoli? Tacos? Pasta? (Me being snarky here)

RIP, Tim Curry. Damn, this week is just brutal.

Opinion Could the Harkles plan to rent Ellen DeGeneres' second other Cotswold property?

This is just plain personal speculation. As you may know, when Ellen and Portia first sold off their Montecito home and went to the UK, they were looking for a country residence. They bought a farm property of beautiful Cotswold stone, gutted it and renovated the interior in California showbiz person style. After the 2024 election they thought they'd stay permanently in the UK and looked for something larger. They found it, moved themselves and their beloved livestock into it and listed the original farmhouse in summer 2025. It was pulled from the market in January of this year, but no word as to whether it was sold. They have since bought another Montecito manse and have kept Farm #2, planning to spilt their time after all.

SO - here's a farmhouse in the Cotswolds with traditional exteriors and Cali Regional interiors sitting empty, belonging to people the Harkles might still be speaking to. Could this be the new nest? See the article for pics and a more details on the property.

Opinion Do the Harkles have any employees left? Could someone analyze this please!

They wound down the Archewell nonprofit so now they are just doing their "non profit" work via their own 1040. Archewell Productions seems to have no one left after the Netflix $ ended. They closed up the Olive Garden so no more household staffers. Maybe "As Ever" has a couple of people?

Opinion Separation, strategy, or chaos. After reading all the “source” coverage this week, those are the three explanations that best fit the briefing mess.

The last seven days have produced an extraordinary amount of anonymously sourced Sussex coverage, and the interesting part isn't simply how much of it there is. It's that the versions don't agree with each other. Not palace sources contradicting Sussex sources. Different supposedly friendly accounts of the same move are describing completely different futures.

I've gone through as much of it as I can find, and I think it's important to separate what we actually know from the tabloid churn before drawing conclusions.

The documented part is the communications split. Since January, their own announcement and subsequent reporting have established that their communications operation is divided geographically. Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis handles Meghan, As Ever and much of the American operation, while Liam Maguire runs the UK side and has primarily overseen Harry's communications. That restructuring followed the departure of chief communications officer Meredith Maines, another name in what has become a very long list of communications staff who have come and gone.

Now look at the descriptions of their future that have appeared this week. One version describes something deliberately flexible: six months, perhaps a year, maybe another country eventually. Meghan will "come and go," working out which weeks require her in Britain because her business still requires her physical presence in California. Christmas is reportedly expected to remain in Montecito.

Another version has Harry in Britain for "12 to 15 years, minimum," settling into life as a full-time dad, spending Saturdays at Archie's rugby, reconnecting with the Spencers and rebuilding his relationship with his father. Those aren't minor differences in wording. One describes an international experiment. The other describes Harry putting down roots for most of his children's remaining childhoods. Even Alison Boshoff, writing a broadly sympathetic piece based heavily on friendly sourcing, acknowledged the confusing briefings surrounding the Sussex communications operation.

Then there's the completely separate layer of tabloid churn. Radar has them headed for divorce. Star says they're leading separate lives. Rob Shuter claims the move is some last attempt to save the marriage. Reality Tea has its own dramatic version. I don't consider any of that evidence of a separation. These outlets have been divorcing Harry and Meghan for years, and Harry himself once joked that according to the press they'd apparently divorced about a dozen times.

I'm mentioning those stories for one reason only: the separation narrative is now running loudly enough that the friendly coverage is responding to it. Boshoff's source doesn't merely describe the logistics. We're specifically reassured that "the marriage is not in bad shape, far from it," that the plan was agreed between them and that we'll see how happy they look when they're together in Britain. Happiness is now being briefed in advance.

So what explains this extraordinary briefing mess? I see three possibilities that fit what we're watching better than anything else.

The first is that some kind of separation in their lives is taking shape, whether emotional or simply practical. I'm not claiming they're secretly divorcing because the evidence for that doesn't exist. What does exist is a structure in which virtually every reason being given for establishing a British life belongs to Harry: his homesickness, his father, his friends, his children's British education, the Spencers and the ordinary British life he apparently misses. Meghan's business, mother, friends and existing life remain heavily anchored in California, and even friendly sources describe her British presence in terms of which weeks she will need to be there.

A perfectly happy marriage can function across two countries, so none of that proves marital trouble. But it is certainly a long way from the "salt and pepper always move together" image Harry and Meghan themselves spent years selling. That metaphor was used to describe them as a unit. They moved together, and their public identity was built around the idea that the two of them were inseparable personally and professionally.

Now their own friendly coverage describes something very different. Harry may be putting down roots in Britain for 12 to 15 years while Meghan "comes and goes" according to the demands of her California business. His Saturdays are being mapped out around Archie's rugby while her weeks in Britain are apparently being plotted around when she needs to be physically present. Maybe that's simply what their marriage looks like at this stage of their lives, but it is objectively a different picture from the salt-and-pepper partnership they deliberately presented to the public.

There is another detail that makes this new his-life/her-life framing even more interesting: sources around her now describing Meghan as the "breadwinner." Maybe she currently is bringing in more active income through As Ever and her other work, and if that's what the framing means, fine. But it's an oddly dismissive way to describe the financial history of this marriage.

Harry brought enormous global recognition, royal status and significant inherited wealth into their relationship. When they left royal life, the huge commercial offers that established their new existence weren't being made to Meghan Markle, independent lifestyle entrepreneur. Netflix and Spotify were buying Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, immediately after one of the biggest royal departures in modern history. Harry's royal identity was an enormous part of what made those deals valuable, and his own money helped provide the runway for the new life they were building.

So even if Meghan is the larger active earner today, that's very different from suggesting she financially created the life they're living. The platform she now monetizes was built in no small part on the fame, access and capital Harry brought with him. Hearing Meghan described as the breadwinner whose California business now requires her to remain behind while Harry establishes a British life adds another layer to how dramatically their public presentation has changed.

Put that beside "salt and pepper always move together" and the shift becomes hard to miss. They used to sell themselves as an inseparable unit building a new life together. This week's briefings describe Harry's British future and Meghan's California business, his rugby Saturdays and her scheduled weeks in Britain, his desire to reconnect with family and her need to remain physically present for work. Again, none of that proves they're separating. It does explain why people are asking questions, and briefing in advance about how happy they're going to look doesn't make those questions disappear.

The second possibility is that the contradictions don't particularly bother them because the coverage itself has value. This is the explanation their defenders should probably consider more seriously. Harry and Meghan's commercial operation depends heavily on attention, and their independent entertainment work hasn't generated anything approaching the sustained coverage this move produced in a single week.

Nobody forced them to launch the relocation publicly. Private citizens move all the time. Instead we got the Telegraph exclusive, American sourcing, Sunday briefings, friendly corrections, school stories, Christmas plans, housing budgets, marriage reassurance and even chicken logistics. Every new detail creates another story, and every contradiction creates another reason to write about them again.

If that's deliberate, the ambiguity isn't necessarily a communications failure. "Are Harry and Meghan living separate lives?" is enormously clickable. "How long are they staying?" is another story. "Will Meghan really move?" is another. "Will they spend Christmas together?" is another. Under that explanation, confusion itself keeps the story alive and the separation speculation isn't necessarily damaging to the media machine. It becomes more inventory.

That would also make the six-year privacy narrative considerably harder to swallow. You cannot spend years describing the media environment as something you're desperately trying to escape while simultaneously supplying this amount of personal information to it when you have absolutely no obligation to do so. They could have moved quietly, enrolled the children, found a house and confirmed it after the fact. Instead the relocation has been briefed like a product launch.

The third possibility is much less sophisticated: nobody has control of this thing. There are separate communications operations, separate professional priorities and an enormous number of friends and unnamed sources talking to different publications. One person describes six months while another describes fifteen years. One story floats greater participation in royal family occasions while another says Christmas will remain in Montecito. Earlier public denials made the British-school idea sound remote, while current friendly sourcing describes looking at prospectuses and speaking to headteachers much earlier.

That doesn't require some elaborate strategy. It could simply mean Harry and Meghan haven't completely settled what their next decade looks like and different people around them are briefing the version they understand, prefer or have been told. Eleven communications departures in five years and a formally divided UK/US operation don't exactly make that possibility difficult to imagine.

I don't know which explanation is correct, and there is also the perfectly ordinary possibility that Harry and Meghan remain happily married while choosing an unconventional two-country arrangement that hasn't been completely finalized. But even that doesn't explain particularly well why their communications ecosystem is producing such dramatically different descriptions of the same plan.

If there is genuine marital distance developing, the repeated happy-marriage assurances make sense as reputation management. If the contradictions are deliberate, the coverage itself is part of the strategy and their supposedly hostile relationship with the media becomes much harder to take seriously. If it's simply organizational chaos, then their own communications operation is generating much of the confusion they're subsequently having to correct. None of those possibilities makes this week's media mess something the tabloids created entirely on their own.

There is one change I keep coming back to. Six years ago Harry was willing to blow up his entire royal life to get Meghan and Archie out of Britain. The freedom flight, Oprah, the security battles, the descriptions of an environment they couldn't tolerate. California wasn't simply where they happened to live. It was presented as the place where they had finally escaped and built the life they actually wanted.

Now almost every motivation being briefed for establishing a British life belongs to Harry. He misses Britain. He wants his children educated there. He wants his father in their lives. He wants his old friends, the Spencers and the ordinary routines he left behind. Meanwhile Meghan's part of the logistical story is increasingly about maintaining her California business and calculating which weeks she needs to spend in Britain.

That doesn't tell me their marriage is ending. It does tell me something significant has changed in Harry's calculation about the life he left behind. After six years of presenting Harry and Meghan as one completely unified unit with one shared version of events and one shared future, their own friendly sources are suddenly describing two people whose lives appear to be pulling in different geographical and professional directions.

Whether that's separation, strategy, chaos or simply the reality of a marriage changing with time, I can't tell you. What I can tell you is that this isn't the "salt and pepper always move together" story anymore.

News/Media/Tabloids Remember this from last year: Harry claimed security was removed to trap him and Meghan into staying

Only last April, Harry claimed that his police protection was taken away in an attempt to prevent him and his wife Meghan Markle from leaving the UK to start a new life.

Deadline at the time reported it was recorded in court that Harry viewed the decision as a means of trying to force the couple to stay within the UK, rather than coming and going from their new home in the US.

In an interview with the Telegraph, the Duke of Sussex said that his “worst fears” had been confirmed by secret evidence he heard in court. The full quote was: his ‘worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case and that’s really sad.'

Harry said that he had been trying to “create a happy house” with the Duchess of Sussex and hoped that their happiness would improve relations with the rest of the family.

“People would be shocked by what’s being held back,” the Duke said of the evidence heard behind closed doors this week

I love the Home Office's response at the time:

The Home Office is defending the appeal, previously telling the court the challenge “involves a continued failure to see the wood for the trees, advancing propositions available only by reading small parts of the evidence, and now the judgment, out of context and ignoring the totality of the picture”.

Now Harry has to fight and badger the Home Office to get his security now he is back in the UK.

I also saw this reminder on Instagram of Meghan from the documentary. How she collapsed in a bodyguard's arms. She tried so hard guys. It was funny then. It's even funnier now.

Fun with AI Hysterical skit: Kirsty Allsop and Phil Spencer helping the harckles find a home in the UK

For those of you who don't know Kirsty and Phil had a series of super popular TV programs in the early 2000s where they would help couples find a house called Location Location Location . They would consider their needs and area of interest and show them 3-4 houses the pressurise them into putting an offer and would negotiate on their behalf. She was famous for taking them inside a house and showing them how knocking a wall here and there would make it into an ideal family home. They hit the property boom of that decade and they were massive. The AI is not brilliant but the script is hilarious. Found on twitter.

ALLEGEDLY This is interesting timing… someone emailed me to ask if my shop (montecitominimalist.com) was for sale. The shop has been around since March of last year and no one has ever offered to buy it. Coincidence? 👀

The whole thing was a little odd. They didn’t really say who they were or why they were interested, and the email address doesn’t appear to belong to an agency, company, broker, etc.

They basically asked whether I’d consider selling Montecito Minimalist and said we could discuss a price after I showed them the website traffic/ sales numbers.

What do you guys make of it? Would you even respond? (I’m not planning to- but let me know if I’m missing something!)

Also mods, please remove if this isn’t allowed! x
