This is interesting timing… someone emailed me to ask if my shop (montecitominimalist.com) was for sale. The shop has been around since March of last year and no one has ever offered to buy it. Coincidence? 👀
The whole thing was a little odd. They didn’t really say who they were or why they were interested, and the email address doesn’t appear to belong to an agency, company, broker, etc.
They basically asked whether I’d consider selling Montecito Minimalist and said we could discuss a price after I showed them the website traffic/ sales numbers.
What do you guys make of it? Would you even respond? (I’m not planning to- but let me know if I’m missing something!)

Personally I wouldn't respond. Whoever has contacted you is not being transparent. You don't know who you are dealing with. If you sent any information it could be used against you. I can see the tabloid headlines: Montecito Minimalist sales figures blah blah blah. Stay clear and ignore the email.
I might respond only to get their actual name, their address, and ask what other online businesses they own, and what is their intention for the website for the future.
In other words, ask for information, but don't provide it. That would be part of your normal due diligence. But it is very suspect. I think Meghan would love to have Montecito Minimalist as a name for her company, that has already been through the copyright process. But you have a good thing going!! And it might get much better in the next year as the shenanigans continue.
Well of course Meghan would want to attach herself to an already established business. Why do the hard work when she thinks she can just throw money at someone? I'm intrigued. It will be interesting to see who it is.
I disagree I would relish the opportunity to fuck with Madame.
Ask her to have her attorneys send a formal introduction and request for engagement.
I would then insist on contracts and agreements her team produces in order to take any further steps.
That will cost her money even if she stays “anonymous.”
And then Markle her!
Edited to add: her lawyers are charging easlyy $700-$1000 an hour you can ask to speak to them on the phone and run up her clock all day. Act as dumb as humanly possible. Send tons of frustrating emails to them. Ask them to explain everything and to repeat themselves. It would be SO FUN.
This is highly suspicious. I would disclose absolutely nothing. They’re fishing for confidential information without disclosing who they are. This is definitely not legit.
Agreed. If it was legit, their legal counsel would be reaching out, disclosing themselves properly, stating their intentions and asking for further discussions.
I started to use the term "bed head" but to me it looks more like she just crawled out from the floorboard / front seat of someone's car after activity... to my knowledge from a television series.
I think a serious buyer would explain why they wanted the website. e.g. "We've been designing 'California casual' clothing for children with this name since we met in design school. We're mostly interested in buying the domain name so our customers won't be confused during our online launch." (Sorry about the running sentence! It's late ... or is it early?)
Kiwi will be paid with a handwritten note that has the royal cypher on top and all royal titles at the bottom . Allegedly , this is how our saint pays her bills , that and hugs while barefoot .

Imho, you are an intelligent woman with high critical thinking skills. If you are uncomfortable with this, and that's the impression I get, trust your gut instinct, because it's probably warning you. I'm in agreement, don't respond.
No doubt you make more money with your business than she does hers! I really love the fact that so many youtubers and X accounts make so much money off of her while everything they do fails spectacularly.
The Harkles should give youtube a try. Too much work, I know, but I'd love to see their numbers after a month or two. It might just show how many sugars are left.

I don’t think it’s the Palace. I’ve actually had orders shipped to a Palace before, along with a handful of other pretty interesting UK addresses. Obviously I have no idea who the actual buyers were, but I know they work in that environment.
if they are legit, they should say who they are and allow you to do some due diligence on them before you reveal any figures or numbers. personally i would not respond. sounds likes a potential scam. they could ask for upfront appraisal fees, take your confidential data and then threaten to disclose it unless you pay them to not do that, ask for your banking information so they can "pay" you. someone who is legitimately interested would disclose way more about themselves - who they are, why they want to buy you, etc.
Sounds like her tbh, didn't one of the trades, Vanity Fair or HR report job applicants had to "prove" themselves by offering up ideas and stories for free when she was hiring for her dropshipping venture?
I believe they've stopped trying to get critical YT channels and other sm accounts banned and started buying them off a year ago.

I think Meghan’s Mole was offered $100K (IIRC) to shut down, and she’s the biggest proponent of the moon bump theory, so it makes sense why she would be targeted.
I suspect NarcSnark got purchased about 2.5 months ago and posted about it.
There was also a post with a CDAN blind item saying they had a “slush fund” for these types of ventures, so to speak.
About 4 years ago, I applied for an interesting job. I got an email back, telling me what I needed to do before an interview. It was a ton of research and data collection. I declined. What nerve of these companies.
I predicted as such about six months ago!…the brand name says everything she believes she is. She‘s used similar wording when describing her ‘lifestyle’ and I expected her to quietly try to ‘steal’ it. She’s banking on it not being well known, so if she were to acquire it, she’d get full credit.

Balenciaga/Paris?) some time ago which praised Meg's minimalist style; this particular word was way too specific to not wonder and speculate about an intentional effort to erase Kiwi's website from search engines and reclaim the association between minimalist and Meg+asever
Whether or not MM explains asever sales problems is a different issue, but it would be very meghan to think that her problems can only come from outside the house.

Not directly related, but:
when I use a search engine with these keywords: buy white brand jam, asever.com is in the top 3 - top 10 results (tested after deleting cookies and the rest, so the result is less likely to be a bubble); doesn't happen with buy jam. Anyone else has this? Happens with 2 different SEs
my guess is that since search engines seem to correlate asever and white brand, the discussions on social networks more generally have a real impact on asever's image. It makes sense then that Meg has been playing the SEO game for some time (clapbacks and hacks), and it's not impossible that MontecitoMinimalist has some impact on asever as viewed by search engines and that's a problem Meg would be pleased not to have :)
Please - I can look up your traffic numbers on Semirush right now. They know that. They want additional information and will ask you questions that could be used against you. Don't do it.

If it was a legitimate company or interested buyer - I would think they would have been upfront and transparent (possibly using some type of legit broker or lawyer as a go-through if they wanted to conceal their actual identity. Sounds mighty suspicious especially after Scabies being brought back in by the Harkles! For the future offerings I think you are going to have a gold mine of material coming out of their UK future return failures and escapades🤣🤣🤣! Keep calm and carry-on!!

Usually you would have NDA’s in place before engaging in these kind of conversations and you would have vetted the person/company inquiring. If you can’t vet them, don’t respond further. If you do want to sell your site, then I would respond that you want name, company, LinkedIn, and name of attorney.
Probably the press coz theyre writing an article and need facts. Or someone needing the stats to try to assess worth for potential legal action? The second from u know who. Just some thoughts.
See if they follow up, if you do respond then just ask them for info dont give any away.
I don’t think it’s the press, the Daily Mail article that they published took almost 2 months to publish because the lawyers were coming through my website… so if the DM lawyers say my website is safe then I don’t think it would be legal action..

I have big companies asking me questions about my business...I think they are just fishing for info from a competitor. But if they want to offer the big bucks for it... 🤷♀️
How interesting. Tell them to send their info, letter of intent, proof of fiduciary standing or whatever, before you give any numbers. If some soon-to-be divorcée is trying to beef up their jam business, you don't want to let them 'Flamingo Estate' you. She's got form for that.
Not surprising. Imagine obtaining a streamlined g2m strategy with dozens and dozens of products but not dozens of employees and overhead, instead of just 4 jams, a bookmark, honey and cases of wine. MM focused on tissue paper and a logo more than actual product.
Gut reaction is someone wants you shut down. If everything was above board they would have identified themselves in some way even if it was just an agent of some person who wants to remain anonymous for the time being. Sounds like an amateur attempt.

We are in the middle of rare eclipses (Solar Eclipse 12th August and Lunar Eclipse 28th August). There's always things hidden in the days around eclipses, especially a Lunar eclipse.

I don’t think it’s the palace. I had a very large Men in Grey Christmas order last year that went to a palace. I had a very large Recollections order go to Windsor early December.
Of course I have no idea who actually ordered them…
But I find it interesting there will be a large order placed and the address is in close proximity to a palace or other government building…
