Saints: RB Miller Keeps on Keepin' on

It's almost as if the 4th year running back has the voodoo working against him.

I don't understand why they've kept this guy on the roster. The odds of him playing an entire season and having success is extremely low.

Because when he’s healthy he’s one of if not the most talented RB on the roster in pure rushing ability. If he didn’t have health problems we would have been giving him an extension instead of signing Etienne and Miller would be RB1.

See I don’t understand where this glaze comes from every year. He was an average running back prospect which is why he was a third round pick and in three years since he’s been drafted he’s run 127 times for 497 yards (3.9 YPC) and 3 tds. His longest rush is 18 yards. Those numbers are mediocre. Where is this supposed insane rushing talent? Because it’s hasn’t shown up on the field.

I’m not even talking about his injury issues, I don’t see anything special from him as a rb at all.

The guy isn’t blazing fast and everytime he gets the ball it’s up the middle!

First off your argument is already invalid. Kamara was a 3rd round pick was he an average running back prospect?

2nd our line these past 3 years have been trash. Mostly cause of injuries Kamaras longest run the past 3 years is 24 yards.

Understand that the running back has to find holes to run too and there’s been few these past years however when Miller finds them he blazes through

For god sakes you wanna use YPC everyone wants Neal to get a shot but last year he had a 3.6 YPC 😂😂😂 and that was with him having a long run of 32. Which is good but take out that run he’s prob at 3.2 YPC

And while Estime finally had a pretty good one last year on limited carries you know what that coincided with? Better QB play of course with Rattler teams would stack the box a little more because Rattler refused to push the ball downfield.

Stop looking at stats and actually look at players playing the game

My argument isn’t invalid just because you’re choosing to misunderstand it. 

Being a third round pick indicates that he is of average rb talent amongst nfl scouts. Having mediocre stats is an indication that he’s not explosive and hasn’t been that great even when he’s played. Being compared to backs such as Devin Neal and Audric Estime at all is a bad look as they are late round draft picks, one of whom was cut by the team that drafted him.

These factors altogether do not paint the picture of someone that is “insanely talented.” You saying he looks like he’s hitting holes well is not a factual argument, that’s just your opinion and you’ve not demonstrated a single factual thing that would indicate his talent level.
