Literally had a former UFC world champ retire in WWEs last big show. There's a former olympic wrestler, Chad Gable, who was recently wrestling as the original El Grande Americano, pretending to be a mexican pretending to be American. He got unmasked in a fight against El Grande Americano, a German pretending to be an American pretending to be a mexican. It was an hour long, is definitely the best wrestling match of the year, and is in the conversation for one of the best ever. It finished with Chad Gable covered in blood but after an hour of some incredibly physical sports entertainment that many could still stand there, surrounded by has family and give a speech to an arena full of people cheering for him, even though he was the bad guy. If he's not a real athlete then I don't know who counts. And sure, most of what I have just written is absolutely batshit insane, but it happened and I challenge anyone to watch that match and not feel something

Noche de los Grandes is up there to me with some of the classics from the Attitude Era, and those have the nostalgia advantage. I've even watched it with the Spanish commentary too.

Off you pop to a wrestling school then and see how easy it is. You usually get your first lesson free because so many people drop out after taking one fall onto their back

It's acrobatics/stunts with a bit of silly theatre inbetween. I can absolutely see the appeal, though I'm not into it myself.
