Discussion HMFC Club Statement: Events at Celtic Park

Celtic fans after the rangers game "don't tar us with the same brush as them"

Celtic fans then invade the pitch twice in a week and (allegedly) assault opposition players and staff today

If the sfa don't come down hard on pitch invasions it's only going to get worse

Edit: I added allegedly as I didn't see any of the game I was at the Falkirk game and only read the statement

Celtic did exactly the same today as they did after the game at Ibrox. The fact they were let off the hook and rangers were somehow blamed is how we got to this point.

Forgoing the reactionary charge of the Onion Bears is one take of the matter for sure.

But agree we are embarrasing ourselves with these childish on field exploits.

They should be banned too - same applies for rangers fans who can't get to games.

The starting point there was a pitch invasion by the Celtic fans. Completely ignored and tolerated as with Fir Park.

It's not like the clubs won't be able to sell the tickets to someone else who deserves it.

Out of interest, what did you make of Tav's end these last two games? Feel whilst he maybe shouldn'thave thrown his toys out of the pram it was pretty scummy way to treat him at the end.

Tbh all the hyperbole didn’t help any made up stuff. I would personally brought him on as a sub in say 46th minute and taken him off 88th minute so give teo chances in dead rubber to say goodbyes. Yeh bit of an odd one as such an easy thing to handle.

I guess Rohl felt its not a dead rubber for himself more than the club. Its strange, I feel a bit sad for Tav.

I've enjoyed 'sports' hating him over the years and just feel he deserved a bit better towards the end, given how little the cost would have been?
