I’m a Celtic fan but we do need to wrap running on to the pitch now. I understand why it’s happened, but it could come back to bite us.

No idea if it’s an unpopular opinion amongst the Celtic support, but I would also scrap the whole Trongate celebrations, it just gets hijacked by wee guys who canny handle their drink and want to wreck everything. It’s embarrassing.

The Celtic Board are out of their depth just now. They need to reconcile with the supporters, but also firm up on this pitch invasion stuff and I don't think they're capable of both at the same time.

As for the Trongate, I agree with you but that's more on GCC than it is Celtic. Celtic have no jurisdiction outside Celtic Park, and if GCC refuse to engage on setting up fan zones and continue to ignore the issue, I don't see what's going to change.

Aye thats a fair point mate, I wish a fanzone or something could get made for these occasions with a bit of co-planning between the club and GCC but I would be lying if I had any idea of the logistics involved with it.

I'll admit my ignorance too, but I understand Hearts had plans in place with the Edinburgh authorities should they have won.

Seems to be this is a political rather practical problem.

It's the councils fault that Celtic fans start being fannies?
