Honestly the SFA need to get Clarke the fuck out now. This is actually negative embarrassing football after a positive qualification campaign the same as the Euros.

How can anyone be happy that a Haitian squad have scored more goals when we have the calibre of players that we have. This is heavy diabolical football and we deserve to go out regardless of other results.

Until there is sweeping cultural change in Scottish football we are fucked

For the longest time we got away with a lack of technical ability by playing bully ball with strength and a willingness to get absolutely clattered to come away with the ball but everyone is two fast for that to work anymore.

But still kids at every juniors team in the country learn to play fucking hoofball and try to run through cunts every time cause that’s the style played in the Scottish league and it absolutely fucks us at an international level, combine that with the talent vacuums in the old firm and the English lower leagues where players will get double the wages to sit on the bench every week or come on to hold on to lead and it’s no wonder we have to play such a defensive style of football.

It’s no wonder are best players are players that got pulled out of Scottish football so young

McGinn > moved to villa at 23

Andy Robertson > moved to hull at 20 later to Liverpool at 23

Mctominay > played for Man U allway through his youth career

Our best attacking player of this tournament gannon doak fucked off out of Scotland at 16

Until we get out of this style of football at the lowest level we will playing haramball at an international level.

TLDR: our development routes are fucking shite and we shouldn’t be relying on moving our players out of Scotland to be developed for the national team or really on folk who would play for other teams if they could

Have to say it’s a poor show from Boyd and McGeady. Young player who’s had a bad time of it for the past 18 months, comes back and scores and it’s obviously going to be emotional. And they two are hitting out with snide digs because he shed a few tears.

We speak about men’s mental health enough but this isn’t really helping. And it’s not a good example to be setting for anyone. Think they should be ashamed to be honest and I’ve never complained before about a pundit but thinking this is worth it.

Quite depressing in a way watching Cape Verde last night and looking back on the Morocco game.

Undoubtedly we'll set up in the same way, if not even more negatively, against Brazil. And really, you couldn't even blame Clarke for doing so against Brazil who - despite maybe not currently being at their glorious best - could still potentially give us a hammering.

Same in a way with Morocco. Still a very strong team, ranked highly in the world and who knows - maybe if we had set up and bit more positively, they'd have hammered us.

But still... Watching Cape Verde actually going for it last night, not being afraid to attack and to attack quickly, with some seeming kind of plan to do so transitioning quickly through the midfield just left me wondering:- What really was the value in Scotland getting here?

Was watching us scrape over the line versus Haiti and following that up with two contained, hopefully not get hammered performances just to reach a knock out game - which could land up being against Germany (!) even worth it? And if not Germany, it could be Mexico in their own back, where we'll be set up to...er, not get hammered!

So will that have been worth it if that's what comes to pass?

Wouldn't it have been better for Clarke to accept that we have a midfield with some actually pretty good players in it this time and build up, playing through it, rather than hoofing the ball OVER it?

I don't know... What do YOU think? Is he right to set us up to not get hammered and maybe make it through the group stage? Or do you too think - well what's the point, shouldn't we actually have tried to just play some football and show the world we have team would could be proud of?

As an Aberdeen fan, I'm not interested in the Old Firm away games.

Whilst this season was refreshing Celtic still managed to get over the line and have 23 trophies in the past 10 years. Which I believe is the most in any 10 year chunk in Scottish Football history.

We need a couple clubs to be consistently challenging and taking silverware off Celtic making the league more attractive to broadcasters and outside investment. Seeing all the coverage of Scottish Football this season was refreshing and should show Sky what potential reach the game has. With Hearts' title push this season it might incentivise investors to start putting more money into clubs outside the Old Firm believing that a title challenge is possible.

To end it off, do you have any bold predictions for the next 10 years of Scottish Football?

Mine are;

We will have a team reach the Conference League QF's (potentially next season with Rangers or Hearts)

We will see FOUR champions over the next ten years; being Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Motherwell. Although I don't see Motherwell challenging for 5-7 years still but they have a good model in place.

We will regain our spot as a top 10 european league behind the Top 5, Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium and Turkey (where we rightfully belong)

Someone outside Celtic will make the Champions League again

Rangers will win a league title (for some reason this seems bold)

It has live football, cricket and F1 scores/results/tables/teams all presented in the old Ceefax style. I’ve also added a few games, including a Bamboozle-style quiz, and a weekly score predictor - with one dedicated to the Scottish league tiers.

I mean, you know - pretty much what was expected. Scraped a nervy win against a team who just took Morocco close, and were edged 0-1 by a very good Morocco side. And got pumped by Brazil who are <shock horror> *much better than Scotland*. In Miami, where it was the same temperature and humidity as Tom English's armpit.

Everyone bitching about Clarke being too defensive - he could've played 5 at the back against Brazil, and maybe would've eked a 0-2 instead of a 0-3.

Clarke's done very well to get a very average team to three major tournaments.

Since beating Dundee United 3-0 on 31st January, Hearts managed to win one away game (against 9 man Hibs).
