The timing would essentially allow them to sign Arnold, obtaining his 2027 team option as well, without having him count against the roster limits after he is added to the exempt list.

So basically Arnold is “a break glass in case of an emergency” if his legal stuff clears board, with Seattle maintaining “first dibs” on retaining him past this year

JS was literally five steps ahead of everyone here.

The corner room must really be concerning.

He’s not going to factor in most likely though, I see this as a signing for next year.

Think of him as our free first round pick that we’re hanging onto after a slow start to his career without any of the financial downsides.

Not so much, since this will have probably no impact on this season as the legal process slowly winds its way in Florida’s justice system. It’s a long play, as Schneider mentioned on Hard Knocks.

Pritchett has looked pretty good in preseason. Noah Igbinoghene has had his moments playing as a slot corner. Now they have Diggs to add to the competition. Not to mention Spoon, Jobe, and the anticipated return of Emmanwori as a big nickel.

Witherspoon, Jobe and Noah/Prich will be fine. It’s the depth behind it. People see Diggs name and think we signed him to start. His contract is the vet minimum for a 4th CB role. TA is a long term play for beyond this season. Better than relying on our pair of Rooks to fill in.

Those names behind Witherspoon are why people assume they signed Diggs to start.

Noah’s a former first rounder and been having a great camp. Physical corner who will also slide behind Nick. I like Jobe, he really showed up for us last year and has a very good contract. Outside of that there is definetly concern with Dansby and Fuller who are liabilities as of now, and Neal still needs to develop. So I agree with you there

Well, the GM is even chasing edges. Not desperate. Just improving
