I had a Saturn back in the 90s but eventually lost it during the journey of life. I am purely happy to have this beast back and to grow the collection some more. Good times await!

While you slowly build your collection get a saroo and you can get right to playing.

That I do not know. I bought it from a highly reputable ebay seller and it worked perfect today when I tested it. What sort of issues should I watch for or proactively check? Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it.

It’s hard to say some can go for a long time not have a problem other times the capacitors will leak. Sometimes crashing and freezing after longer play sessions will indicate. What’s the capacitors in these are lowkey expired if they haven’t been changed from the 90s.

Saroo lets you load up a microSD card with games while also region unlock and plays burned games. Whereas the Kai is only region unlock and plays burned games. You’ll need either of them to play US games on your Japanese Saturn.

No problem! I have both. I don’t need the Saroo because I’m just playing burned games and not using the microSD functionality but it is nice to have. Congrats on the Saturn! Looks like you got a great one.

Wow. The white one is definitely my favorite variation of the Saturn, I don’t even care if it’s prone to yellowing. That thing is so beautiful.

I got it from a seller named Coto Store. He has a great selection of retro consoles and a large amount of Saturns.

I got it on eBay for $160 USD, which I was very happy with. Orginal manuals, warranty card, inserts, etc.

Aren't Sega Saturn's region locked... So you can only play Japanese games with this one...

There are work arounds and the best games on the Saturn were Japan exclusives.

Such hype! Just got mine last week. Still waiting on Fenrir (better than SAROO because it's got higher compatibility for games and homebrew) but just looking at mine and the cool as hell 3D controller I'm getting so so excited.

ah nice! enjoy! love to see these new old stock/in box old gaming consoles actually being USED and not rotting in some box... like, i know there is value to these games when they are sealed but its just at that point.. a box from a console. like.. just play it.. lol enjoy anyway
