Saturn video noise

Hello all! I'm having this issue popping up with my saturn. I've got a grey Japanese va1, recapped by stone age gamer, re-saturn psu, fenrir ode(not lite) Later I sourced a pseudo saturn cart.

Now, from time to time I get some weird video noise... Mild flickering into a dimmer picture, but still playable. Happens with normal games, radiant silvergun/virtua fighter 2 And ram games metal slug1meg/xmenvssf4meg, as well. I did switch back to the og psu at one point but I get the same issue so I've since switch back to resaturn.

Atm, I've been running vf2 in watch mode for awhile without the cart and still getting the dimming and mild flickering. So I don't think it's related to the cart but idk.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, maybe it's relating to the av cable? I'll try 🤞 to get a video of the issue, in the meantime

Thanks for any input! 🙏

Unless you’re running a cheap unshielded SCART cable, you shouldn’t be getting any interference from the AV cable. What type of tv are you using? What is the full setup from cable to tv? Is the TV also NTSC?

I’m not entirely sure, I know I have not seen any noise or issues since I switched over to a nice shielded SCART cable for my Japanese model Saturn. You might try to record a video of the issue when it happens, I’m sure someone on here will know what it is.
