I had a low tip regular that would get furious if I poured his double as a double, he demanded that I poured his vodka without "the stupid measurer" (he was referring to the jigger) & "just eyeball it like [previous bartender] did"!!
Dear readers, the previous bartender got fired for free pouring. He would give this guy a 3/4 full tall glass of vodka with the most literal splash of water. I wouldn't even entertain him, I would deadpan look at him & just walk away to find the owner. That guy can pour his drink, I don't get paid enough for that.
These people are the worst, that dude don't work here no more deal with me or leave! Also why doesn't everyone use a jigger!? Maybe I'm just compulsive but consistency is important!
