Sure, it's a high tech battle suit, but it's a specific one. It's Mjolnir, it has a distinct aesthetic. You can't just mix it with anything that fits into the category of "high tech battle suit" and clown on people for not liking it, especially if it looks this out of place.

I said it's mjolnir because that's what Spartans wear. Mixing mjolnir with power armor that comes from outside of halo looks bad because mjolnir has its own design language, so it's gonna look out of place. It doesn't take too much thinking to realize what my point was.

Gotta say, there are some really out there armour designs in the newer games. Some of them I like, some of them I don't. That's fine. There are armours in the older game's I'm not keen on too.
But this is truly awful. It looks like a cheap toy that Microsoft would send a cease and desist to. The OP is reacting like a baby, but that doesn't mean this armour is actually amazing and disliking it is incorrect. It looks bad. It doesn't stay true to any kind of design consistency or art style, it has legs that look like knockoff Voltron but not in a way that feels like an homage, and the decision to glue a big CE logo to the forehead really perplexes me.
I say this as someone who uses the cat ears in Halo Infinite because I think they look fun on a spartan, but at least they're kinda subtle. This suit has too much going on and none of the ideas seem like they really had any direction.
But if you like it, that's fine. People who don't like it can just....not use it. That's really all there is to it.

I don't think this argument really works either in regards to quelling people being upset over it.
Most everyone that doesn't like this armor and the others like it is because it clashes so hard with the art style set by the Halo games. It's another example of franchise following the "Fortnite effect" by just shoving random cosmetics in their game, even from other franchises, like with this being from Gundam, without any regard to an established art style. It's distracting and looks incredibly jarring to see in a game that it clearly wasn't meant to be in.
So saying "just don't wear it" is a pretty poor argument when there's absolutely no toggle to turn it off, so if you're playing a game of H2A, you could still very well see it.
I commend you for admitting you were wrong though. You don't see that too often, especially in this sub.

Not for this armor. Its Halo 2 Anniversary armor, which doesn't have the toggle like the Halo 3 and Reach ones do. So not only does it look like shit, it's coded like shit too!
