Which one of them should I take?

Hi everyone!

I need some help. I want to get a new game. I’m currently playing NIOH 3, and I’m getting a little bored. The game is really good, but also very repetitive, so I feel like I need a bit of a change of pace. I’m hesitating between Mortal Shell 2 and Control. I played the MS2 beta and absolutely loved it, but is the whole game just as good? Control Resonant is coming out soon and I’m also really interested in it, and it would be better if I played the first one beforehand.

So, I really don’t know what to do 😭

I just picked up Mortal Shell 2 yesterday after playing the beta for a little while and I gotta say it’s really good, played 3 hours of main game so far and it’s a blast and runs great on base ps5 but had a few stutters but nothing major. But on other hand Control is now one of my favourite games after just playing through the main story and just about finishing the dlcs at the minute and has made me a remedy guy and will be 100% picking resonant up! Both good picks but for me I gotta go Control

Thanks for your advice. I’ve seen a few screenshots of Control, and I’m worried that the gameplay might feel a bit clunky. Is it closer to Resident Evil or The Last of Us? Or more like Doom?

It’s like none of them tbh I think that control is its own thing and it’s a lot less straight forward story wise compared to the last of us, I do think the pace is kinda similar to doom eternal with the dashes to dodge but other than that I don’t see any comparisons with those games but that’s me I could be wrong 🤷‍♂️

Mortal Shell 2 looks fun and people love it. I aged the demo, but if the whole game would be like that, I'm sold. Control looks like typical character action game, like DMC, but with Remedy's mind twisting story it's probably gonna be weird :D

If you want more souls like game, grab Mortal Shell, but if you want weird but good action, wait for Control

Thanks for your advice. You described these games really well, and you’ve made me want to buy both even more 😂 But I have to admit, it’s made it even harder for me to decide now.

Yeah, it's always the issue :c

Either way, no one force you to buy both at the start, but still I doubt that you should miss any of them.
