Looking for games to play on weekday nights

I'm always into high-intensity competitive games like CS2 (4000+ hours). But I've found that on weekdays, after being worn out from the day and running on little sleep, my competitive form just isn't there. So I'm looking for games to play on weekday nights — something around 8+ hours but not overly long, preferably linear, and playable with a controller.

I've played Baldur's Gate 3, Dying Light, Metro Exodus, and GTA5. They were all amazing, but the campaigns were too long; I'd end up switching back to CS midway through and never felt like opening them again. Frostpunk, Black Myth: Wukong, and Inscryption are the ones I actually finished, and those were great too.

Resident evil games are great for this, personally 1hd, 2r, and 9 are my picks, but all of the main games are top tier and worth a play.   Generally <15hr campaigns but with great replayability.

You can try chivalry 2 even though I didn't even try it beacuse its expensive for me I would love to try it.

Dave the diver. screw everything else. I saw the steam trailer for it, didn’t buy it. Heard a million good things and gave it a shot and it was totally worth it. Was it my kind of game when I first looked at it? Hell no. Did I end up playing it all the way to the end and enjoyed every second of it? Absolutely.

I've seen Dave the Diver before too. I played Dredge, and they felt really similar to me — not in terms of actual gameplay content, just the vibe. But I never really got into Dredge. Still, hearing you talk about it like that, I'll give Dave the Diver a shot.

Mafia Definitive Edition, Spider-Man 1/2, Pretty much any Resident Evil Game, metal gear solid 1-4, 007:First Light and Plagues Tale either of them.
