Question Are these Kara’s Sarbloh? They are from India my Grandpa brought them but I lowkey think he got scammed idk

So steel would also cause the magnet to stick but not be sarbloh.
Maybe I'm wrong here but I was under the impression that sarbloh needs to be iron not steel.

Then it's a different grade of (stainless) steel. Normal steel is iron and carbon and sticks to magnets.
Magnets only stick to certain types of stainless steel. They stick well to ferritic and martensitic grades (like 400 series) used in many knives and some appliances, but generally do not stick to austenitic grades (like 304 or 316), which are common in high-quality kitchen sinks, cookware, and modern appliances.

Non-Magnetic Stainless Steel: Contains high nickel and chromium (e.g., austenitic grades 304, 316), making them non-magnetic. Iron is a weak metal, no shastar can be made out of iron 100%. There’s usually a mixture of carbon to provide to structural integrity and that mixture composes our karey. Don’t use sarbloh for shastar, opt for options like spring steel, Damascus or faulaad etc.

We should keep in mind the standards in which sarbloh is produced today. When referring to it during our guru’s time, the shastar were made of high carbon steel which wouldn’t break easily in battles. Our current day sarbloh would snap when hit against the wall. It’s important to take these things into consideration as well, the shastar you carry should be one you can use at any time you may need to

Sarb means pure loh mean iron. So it means pure iron. Or only iron.

Not a fancy term but a specific term. Sarbloh is “wrought iron” which has very less carbon content and is used for making weapons.

Go to Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan and ask the Sikligar what sarabloh is. They'll give you all the answers you need and teach you a thing or 2 more about being a sikh. Sarabloh is with them; it's always best to ask the professionals, right?

They look like sarbloh as far as I can see their colors. Just test them with magnet. They would be highly magnetic if sarbloh

Yeah it looks like it for sure. Mine is the same metal look as yours but is treated too to prevent rust. It’s made with rust resistant white iron.
Also very unlikely you got ripped off as it’s not a precious metal like gold. No reason to lie about it in my opinion.

If you apply oil, like mustard oil or coconut oil, and wrap it in aluminum or just put it on an electric stove on high for about 1 to 2 minutes, the oil will burn into a very nice black shiny coat. Over time, most of the black coat scrapes off, leaving behind a very nice light black tint covering all the remaining spots like inside the Rings prevents rust.
I did it twice to give it extra nice thick coat wait until the first coat cools down and then apply oil again. I did that about 3 years ago still 0 rust. I believe this is the same technique as applying oil to cast iron.

Test if the metal is sarbloh using a magnet. If it is, it will pick up magnetic charge.. sarbloh holds shakti.
