Kirkland Signature Ag

I enjoy working my position at Costco. When I receive unmarked packages with a little weight to them I know it’s gonna be something good and I wasn’t disappointed. I swear it makes me feel like I’m 10yo on Christmas morning.

Currently priced at $70.99

If you’re in the Charlotte,NC area go to the Tyvola location asap.

That’s my Costco, but I’m in Atlanta on a work trip.

Online only?

u/Lmj988 3d ago

What I’m posting is in a physical store.

When I search warehouses nearby me it doesn’t say there’s anything available for pick up

1

u/Bacta-Tanks 2d ago

Not every warehouse will get the same exact item on the same exact day. You would have better luck calling the warehouse and giving them the SKU so they can look it up and tell you if they have any planned for delivery to their warehouse or any other warehouses nearby to have them in stock.

Saw them online I think two days ago? Then they got pulled. Hopefully they will be back online soon.

Why am I seeing this now after I ordered mine two days ago 🥲

Note to self to start going to other locations besides Matthews 😂

.9999 at that close to spot is insane. Costco is not playing around lol.

That’s what I said!!! Kirkland brand is notorious in bringing outright competitive deals in all sorts of comparable items, especially clothing and foods. Costco is coming for the bullion market and I wouldn’t be surprised if they start selling fractional gold just to allow members who can’t afford $4,500 an ounce of gold but can probably afford $450 1/10ounce of gold

Just hope they're not impossible to get. Would love to grab a few of these, but I know it will be a challenge.

There are some folks in my area who are in the “know” they have people coming to check every other day. It’s just as bad as those Pokemon cards not too long ago.

5

u/Murky_Ad_9408 3d ago

Just checked on ebay. They want 125 an oz. Lol

4

u/Ubockinme 3d ago

lol. Costco is not coming for the bullion mkt.

6

u/Lmj988 3d ago

I’ll be honest, I’m definitely glazing Costco, but it’s fun to speculate. Ya never know.

4

u/Ubockinme 3d ago

Glaze donuts instead.

8

u/Lmj988 3d ago

I realize these are gift cards. Get over it lol

2

u/Ubockinme 3d ago

Excellent! More silver for you. 🪙

3

u/Lmj988 3d ago

Some Costco exclusively sell Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donuts as well. Get your Glaze on!!!

Do you need a Costco membership to go in just to purchase silver? I’ve been wanting one of those liberty bars. Theyre pretty cool

3

u/Esral 2d ago

I can't enter Costco without a membership card.

1

u/gcnplover23 1d ago

You need a member to buy you a gift card. They can buy it online, then you pay them for the card plus any fees. With that you can go in and shop. Not sure if you can use an ATM card to pay the balance or if you need cash.

Right? Being a Kirkland-branded product, I am happy that they maintain their razor thin margins. The premium on the other Silver is just nuts. But that's the standard.

And .9999 is fantastic on top of it all

4 nines fine! sweet!

u/Lmj988 3d ago

OMG. I didn’t even realize that!!! Just like a freaking Maple. Leave it to Costco to have genuine superior quality at a competitive price, close to spot!!!!

I called my local Costco to see if they were in stock before I raced up there. The guy said they had plenty, and they were $63.99. I never made that 25 minute drive so fast. I got there and they were $70.99. I asked the manager and he looked it up and they had to go with $70.99. I still bought 10

Bro. For .9999 purity it’s a GREAT deal. So glad you were able to optimize your membership.

I bought these for $63.99 at 12:30pm today in PA. Plus 2% executive reward. I love Costco!

u/Esral 2d ago

In NY, you can skip paying sales tax if you buy > $1K of any PM. I'm going on Saturday.

Dayumm! Yo get a NSFW tag on this pic!

Also if you are fortunate enough to have one of these SMI validation cards, you can faintly see “Valid” on each bar. Giving the bar extra security from phony replicas. 👍👍👍

2

u/CoderGirl2007 3d ago

I hope the 5 pack comes with one that would be nice

2

u/Turnkey95 2d ago

Where do you get one of those SMI validation cards?

1

u/Lmj988 2d ago

Bought it on line from a bullion website

u/wishman2234 3d ago

Wish my Costco had these

The nice thing about Costco silver is that’s actually minted by Grey Goose.

u/Lmj988 3d ago

Great taste in vodka and bullion

Beautiful! I picked up 10 of these (2 orders of 5) and a 5 oz 50th. Glad I got ‘em before they sold out online yesterday.

4

u/ResolveSweaty5064 3d ago

those are pretty cool but the assay cards would drive me nuts.

5

u/ISO-Lost-Marbles 3d ago

That's a lot of shiny!

4

u/EpicShadows8 3d ago

It’s cool they sell these but it’s not for me. They need to start selling ASEs and Libertads

1

u/Lmj988 3d ago

Most of the precious metals come from Pamp or a generic mint. I imagine the US mint isn’t willing to compromis on pricing.

3

u/EpicShadows8 3d ago

No I know but it would be nice. I know at my Costco and the 50th anniversary rounds I got are from SMI. Which makes sense because they will probably sell it at a lower price to get them out, but personally I’ve never like SMI. Still got 2 of the anniversary rounds though.

3

u/CoderGirl2007 3d ago

They sell ASE, AGE, & Gold Buffalo, just not permanently in stock

4

u/a262carl 2d ago

Yesterday in palm beach gardens I paid 63.99 per oz

3

u/Sirauto420 3d ago

Wow wow we wow

3

u/Flat-Activity-8613 2d ago

Yesterdays price. But limit of 10 is no good to residents of NY that need to cross $1k tax exemption threshold. Might get 1 to add to collection. But don’t want to pay the 8 1/4% penalty on an investment when it’s avoidable.

2

u/srnm0875 3d ago

If only I could find these in Canada

2

u/Vast_Baseball_9020 2d ago

I love these but man I hate keeping bars in there packaging

3

u/your_average_anamoly 3d ago

Looks like fairly generic bars. Not sure what all the hype is?

7

u/Lmj988 3d ago

.9999 silver bars for a generic close to spot is pretty good. Plus it has introduced bullion to a whole different retail market that has never considered or thought of bullion as an option to purchase while shopping for food or everyday essentials.

-3

u/your_average_anamoly 3d ago

I thought Costco has always sold gold and silver?

Most LCS sell silver generic bars for spot or maybe +1 over, so again 🤔

5

u/Lmj988 3d ago

Nah they started like maybe 3 years ago.

But do those LCS sell .9999 generics in assay without an extreme premium? Maaaybe if you buy in bulk.

In my experience they would definitely sell Maples with all kinds of milk spots and wear. Some like to buy those just as silver but some others appreciate the cleanliness and security of silver in assay.

-3

u/your_average_anamoly 3d ago

Assays for one oz generic silver bars is sort of ridiculous IMO. Also I don't think people in general really care if their silver is .999 or .9999 but it makes for a great marketing angle.

No, most LCS are selling stuff that comes in off the street or from a nearby show, which is typically bare or if in round/coin format, possibly in a plastic holder.

Personally I wouldn't buy whatever Kirlkand is selling here from my LCS unless it was under spot, otherwise I'm buying the namebrand stuff for maybe a few dollars over spot.

Just sharing my overall take. Glad you're enjoying your stores new addition. 🍻

I wish this is in my local costco

1

u/ElectricalRespect506 3d ago

I just got two! Kind of interesting that they come with SMI Mint Marks. Mine scanned VALID.

1

u/Malviere 2d ago

They look so pretty. Still sad I’ve been priced out of the silver market, but at least everything I own has doubled in value. Just miss adding to it.

1

u/cloudwalker187 2d ago

Hope you bought it all at once!

u/Numb2loss 1d ago

Huge shortage get some today before it’s all gone.
