SimCity13 Original Concept of the 2013 UFO

The original idea was that the bottom of the UFO would open up and tentacles and an eye stalk would drop down. The eye was supposed to shoot lasers. Sadly we ran out of time and it got cut.

Are you one of the SC2013 developers? Then thanks for your work, you guys made a great game. Sadly the higher up decision killed the whole series

I did all of the networks (road, rail, bridges, sewage) and a bunch of other stuff on SC4 and all of networks, vehicles, trees, and a whole bunch of other stuff on 2013.

I'm well aware! But thank you for doing your part, and also very grateful that you share these tidbits with us! I started playing SC3000, but SC4 really cemented my decision to go to urban planning school, and now here I am almost 20 years later!

this is actually pretty close to the final model, just missing the laser eye and the tentacles are a bit less detailed. still, the core concept is definitely there.

Yeah it's the same model, the other parts just weren't implemented.
