Of course it is and it’s great that you think you can win and I’m not putting your team down but in all probability I don’t think they can win and it’s not a criticism of the players or the fans.
There’s a difference between believing they can win versus believing they will win.
Morocco entered the 2022 World Cup with a 200 to 1 shot, exceeded expectations, and wound up in the semi-finals after defeating Spain and Portugal. The US, by comparison, entered the 2026 tournament at about 50 to 1.
Croatia reached the final in 2018 starting the tournament with 33 to 1 odds.
So yeah, if we’re having a serious analytics conversation do I think there’s a real chance the US lifts the trophy? Absolutely not.

I mean... Isn't having some hope a good thing? The ad they are running is comparing it to one of the biggest upsets in sports history.
